end of an era

one way or another over the next few weeks we will see the end of the girds era at penrith. It will be a sad day indeed but personally I am looking foward to adding to the list of panther legends I have seen retire. A list including

Royce Simmons
John Cartwright (boy was his final home game a miserable night, weatherwise anyway)
Brandy Alexander
Steve Carter

I've got a feeling Girds won't be coming back to visit too often. He's a bit of a fish out of water around the fibro homes. He was a great player for us, and will be sorely missed.

Wont here me say that to often but my boss is an avid Panthers fan and has made a promise to me that if the Dragons and Panthers make the big one,he will fly me over,take me to the game and shout me a stay for the night in Sydney!

Seems fair ay!

Well I already have my grand final tickets cause I have faith.

In a few weeks time I will look either very clever or very stupid... :lol:

But.......if my faith is rewarded and I get to see my team take on the
dragons I must contact Pete and arrange to meet and say hello for old
times sake.

But to be honest..........I would much rather play the goosters again.
If we were going to go back to back I would want it to be against them
so that we could rub in the fact that they couldn't do it... ;-)
