agree

considering the couple of terror attacks over the last week over there
the players would have had heavy hearts
Yeah I wonder how much that impacted them

Still Australia were much better, just hoped the Afghans could play roll on, they really need something (not so much these kids but the people at home), whereas Aussies and Kiwis literally live in paradise

may have been dominant on the score board but we had 3 wickets caught down the leg side which is very fortunate to say the least

also Pope got hit out of the attack, 1 wicket for a lot and only bowled a bit more than half of his overs

could have been easily much closer

I didn't realise India have been really dominant this world cup

They haven't just beaten sides they have destroyed them

We are up against it

not sure why india don't have a first 1st slip in early, that would have been down his throat and Edwards out. instead they seem to want to have a 4th or 5th slip in, weird field placing

Aust 0/32 - 5 overs

2/53 - 11 overs

Edwards out for 28 from 29

India will chase down anything under 275

We are good as gone
Captain Sangah gone

3/60 - 12 overs

Most of this indian side has had exposue to domestic cricket over the last 12 months
(playing against men). For example their captain has payed 9 FC games with 5 tons.

No wonder they have been dominant this campaign

What happened to the much hyped Waugh?

You'd like a Waugh coming in at 8 in a big game

Steve was in at 7 in 87/88 WC final with O'Donnell at 8, tho to be fair - Dyer was the wicket keeper listed to bat 9. ;)

But Billy was used as a pinch hitter at 4 :D

This is rather interesting reading all round. Aus get cute after piling on the runs, leaving Steve and Mark to bat as high as 8 and 9 who don't bat, Aus only win by 1 run. You know, you think Chappelli is a kook when he talks about SWaugh as a player far too concerned about his average, then you see a scorecard like that.

Message to the U19 lads

Boys, you need to be more attacking throughout, You aint gonna even go close to winning this by being defensive. India doing it in singles easy cause you have 4 guys on the boundary. You have a low total.

also boys all the chirping in the world aint gonna do jack shit for you here either, plus you know who the indian coach is dont you?

Congratulation to India, easily the best side throughout this tournament and deserved U19 champions
