Rethink of ANZAC Day Games

Think we are all in agreement that NZ needs to play at home on Anzac day. While at the same time not taking away from Melbourne's marquee game of the season.

How about...

1) NZ Warriors V Brisbane Broncos
2) Dragons V Roosters
3) Storm V Rabbitohs

Triple header set in stone going forward.

thoughts.. NZ need to be home on Anzac day for many reasons while Melbourne still have their game.

Issue there is that Melbourne loose out on their marquee game in a primetime slot too. One that works so well after the AFL game and the good job the Storm do in hosting it (black out etc..).

Thats why I suggested having a triple header protects Storm game, gives NZ a home game with big opponent and Roosters/Dragons game stays way it is.

NZ fans in Melbourne will get a chance to see the Warriors when they play away in Melbourne anyway. Warriors in Melbourne are a big draw so it would be a request from Storm to face them in the draw.

Talking about a day of significance for both countries over a comp that spans both. So why not involve NZ in the day without taking Melbourne's special game.

It would be a win for Storm as Rabbits have never won in Melbourne. They have a worse record than the Warriors.

There’s a fair bit of military in Townsville, Newcastle (Air Force base) and Canberra too. Those cities deserve to recognise their military on ANZAC Day.

Saints play the GF on Anzac Day every year.

Considering they have been mediocre for a decade its amazing how the day brings out best in both teams and 90% of time its a classic contest.
