Can someone answer me this question, Why does Johnson get the new ball against inferior batting line ups or when Australia are on top. A good example of this was in the Windies, Johnson bowled with the new ball in the first innings, bowled crap as usual. In the 2nd innings Clark got the new ball cause the Windies were only chasing 260 odd :? Clark of course bowled well but in the next test Johnson had the new rock again.........



Against Sehwag and Co he doesn't get the new ball ahead of a guy on Debut who has just played 12 FC matches, talk about protecting his little pet.........

maybe they preferred a more stump to stump bowler in the second innings with a tight lead to hold. As opposed to the first innings where they might have wanted to beat the Windies with pace.

he has 3 wickets at least for once say the kid bowled well. He isnt that great but he has performed on a dead beat track today
