Apologies in advance for derailing the thread but I've been wondering- if we ever got everyone fit and we have a total of 9 spots for forwards (5 starting, 4 on the bench, Luke a given)- which 4 of this lot misses out?

Gavet, Afoa, Mannering, Harris, Blair, Paasi, Pulu, Tevaga, Papali'i, Lisone, Vete, Sao, Satae

The last 4 I've named is who I'd leave out although the bench probably needs another impact prop- I just can't bring myself to drop Papali'i or Pulu.

No matter who you leave out several players are unlucky; with our drastic cultural turnaround suddenly we're spoiled for choice in almost every position.

Tevaga, Vete, Satae and Paasi for me.

Same on the first three but I'd likely keep Paasi- Lisone or Sao drop out, depending on who we're playing and whether we're prioritising go forward. I think right now even Gavet might be fighting for a spot, we can probably carry three props in the side, Not much between Paasi, Gavet and Afoa right now, plus Blair is a different beast.

I think the only automatic picks right now in the pack are Luke, Harris and Mannering, and possibly Afoa given his form this year.

You'd pick Vete ahead of Paasi? Dat be cray cray
Yep. Remember those are the guys Id leave out. I wouldnt pick Vete in the team at this stage cos basically things are good at the mo. I reckon Vete is BETTER than Paasi and could make a real improvement to our side BUT, I havent seen him all year and the guys that have been playing well should be rewarded.

As vvrulz said - were all of a sudden spoilt for choice so no matter who you leave out, someones going to question your choices.

Who would you leave out anyway?

Well you start with who plays based on their importance to the side and ignore your heart and your whims.

yeah nah its hard...but...honest attempt.

8. Gavet
9.Luke
10 Blair
11. Pulu
12.Harris
13. Mannering

14. Afoa
15. Papalii
16. Paasi
17. Sao

The tough part will come when Lawton plays well in FG some time this year, that would really throw the cat among the pigeons.

I think you will find Kearney would never go for such a top heavy line up as we traditionally go for.

One of Tevanga Lawton or Lisone will always feature for that mobility.

Edited- I didn;t see Vete's name there when I initially posted that.

Who else in the side can play hooker apart from Luke and Tevaga? (obviously Cook and Roache but there pretty much specialist hookers). Realistically we need someone who can cover Isaac if he goes down to preserve our service out of DH, and ideally it should be someone versatice enough to provide general value off the bench while Isaac is still on the field.

What could possibly happen off the field????

Warriors are flavour of the month and the media are allover them
With one of the players do you mean ?

Under the new regime it could be as simple as being late to training.

There was that player who showed up late and was forced to sit out training while Corvo punished every one else while they were forced to sit and watch.

How would Inu go down turning up with a bucket of fried chicken?

Your post has got Tevaga written all over it.

VODAFONE WARRIORS v MELBOURNE STORM...
16 ALBERT VETE
17 CHARNZE NICOLL-KLOKSTAD
Good to see these two back. Straight into the deep end though as the current premiers have just recently got themselves back into form. Big test for the two but like Lino, I hope they rise to the occasion and show their good side that we've seen from them many times before at this level.

I think it’s get from certain we’ll see 1-17 run out as named, or at least 14-17.

I’d have Sao in for CNK, not a fan of backs on the bench.
