The Siege Mentality is on: Home semi-final

Who cares where it is? Is anyone seriously not considering going if they have to travel?

2013 we had 33k at SFS v Cowboys for the first week.

This year we’ll have 35k+.
Then we’ll have 50k at Homebush two weeks later to watch us win.
Then we’ll have 85k at the GF.

Fg everyone. We’re winning it all.
That sounds like siege mentality!!
Good work

I don't mind having to play at big stadiums for the Semis.

It's an event. You certainly get that event feel from it.

And the big dance is at ANZ. Let's get used to winning on the big stage.

You know what f@ck this we just need to make sure that every Sharks fan needs to get themselves to the finals and be the loudest, noisiest fans the game has ever seen and beat anyone that comes before us - f@ck the NRL we will go through undefeated and will play on the moon if needed to win this god damn thing !!!! F@ck them all!!!

Ok feel better now - off to work.

The 33,000 against NQ in 2013 was a double header with Easts vs Manly.

Agree , in 1999 & 2008 (even in the '97 SL year) , we had easy 1st week semi wins at Shark Park but when they hit the big stage , they didn't handle it & were totally outclassed. Sh*t themselves actually.

In regards to atmosphere, That Final we played against Souths last year was awesome. f**k there were a lot of Shark Supporters there, and they were loud!

Funnily enough, we are subdued at home but loud as hell in the finals.

I think we have a choice between the SFS or Homebush.

the SFS is by far the better place to watch football and far easier for the fans to get to, but Homebush would be valuable experience for the big dance should we get there.

Tough one.

Exactly.

If you ask me this is Lyall Flanno and the senior players deflecting focus from the streak.

No way the club expected the NRL to change their mind and the media swallowed it fully.

I blame Scott Morris-scum. I mean to say what has he ever done for us. It's him alright.

(and I hate Bubby too)

It's good. We don't want Souths to be playing for anything.

No crowd at anz on a Monday in a few weeks other than sharks.

Knights, Eels, Bulldogs, Storm, Raiders & Panthers.

Not an easy draw but after next week they'll be very close to the 8.

Don't agree. Experience for big dance! We have played there many times. No atmosphere at all at ANZ. SFS much better. Souths was good last year. Met and club and has a feed and used free buses. Great.

Demanding a semi at Shark Park was a forlorn hope. Remember, we took home games to NZ to make a few bucks. Can't remember winning one.

You would think we would sell out a semi at Shark Park but what is the capacity ?our best is 19k and capacity must be more. Worst scenario is getting Broncs or Cowboys at ANZ.

I watched the final at the SFS against Manly a few years ago.
after bumping into Newman, sharkwings and beeker in a pub prior.
I was in the members section.
It felt like I was watching from the top of a 10 story building .
It was shit.
Bloke next to me was an Indian or something with his family.
He asked me who I was going for etc.
I said the sharks and explained how we'd never won.
He told me this was his first game of footy he'd ever seen.

then the f**ker started cheering for Manly.
and we lost.
walked outside ...lost my mates.
tried to sneak on the cssc bus...got told to f**k off.
(* although that big dude with the mega phone - Ben - did try his best to get me on )

then as stumbled around in the dark down a side street 2 chicks appear from nowhere.
They ask where am I going.
I said the shire.
They said no worries we'll give you lift.
haha
I'm thinking how hot I must look after 22 beers .

Then they say ...we are just waiting for our friends.
Then about 4 blokes rock up and we all pile into some sort of 7 seater thing.
everyone except me was on their iphones.
Don't think I had one back then.

after about 30 mins the biggest dude suddenly realises I'm next to him and says.
"Who's this f**king random"?

oh hello I'm carcharias from the forums , nice to make your acquaintance I slur .

Anyway.
back to Northies with 2 of the other dudes.
nice blokes.
I may or may not have smoke bombed them though.

can't imagine how I would have got home from homebush.
so I'll pick SFS.

I think I am away anyway.
