Great choice by the Titans. Brennan and JD were the two best coaches in Australia yet to coach in the NRL. JD will be next in line for a forward thinking club looking for some new blood with a proven track record. So, no chance with us...

In one sentence you say it's form, the next you say they are has beens. Which is it?

Form can be reversed, plenty of examples from coaches. The proven ability to win premierships (and minor premierships) remains.

Mary was never well credentialed.

That is the difference!

I doubt very very much...that the titans board and the nrl...and Russell Crowe are dumb.

Those people know what they are doing and have NOT chosen Madge or Hasler.

Fresh blood in the coaching ranks.

There is no doubt that J D is the man for the job .everybody knows it but,the old boys club have their adjenda, save your job that's all folks.the administration of our once wonderful club is, shall we say poisoned .there is almost no chance ,we will be a premiership force in the next few years.not with this mob in charge. To be honest, the issue isn’t whether or not Hasler and Maguire are better options than JD and Brennan or whatever.

The point is, all 4 were available (5 if you add Cleary) and all 4 would be be an upgrade on Mary, whether your basing it on potential or track record. And the club hasn’t seen fit to upgrade a key component that’s holding us back (ie our head coach).

Surely any organisation sporting or otherwise should appoint the best credentialed candidate available to move forward.

Quite clearly we haven’t done that.

I disagree, Coffs ...................... I think Mary will do real well with a gradual build up to the Grand Final ........... in April.
