Are NRL teams missing a trick?

So of the 8 games each weekend, an average of 6 are twilight/night games. As winter hits, the dew factor will make handling difficult, much harder than a dry track.

So how many NRL teams train of a night?

Surely with coaches and trainers trying to get any edge over their opposition they wouldn't miss one so simple?

I say get rid of the cruisy player lifestyle, and the cafe latte culture...and train in conditions similar to those you play in.

Discuss.

On the other side of the coin, local leagues and even NSW Cup and Bundy train at night but majority of games are on during the day.

All of them train at varying times. They will have sessions under the lights at 730pm as well as twilight and daytime. In summer they train in heat, in winter they train in the cold. If it rains, it rains.

Roger that, i dare say there would be clubs or coaches mainly pulling a swifty every now and then calling a night ball work session to acclimatise to these conditions. Good point though, if the team has a game at night, you would think the coach would be smart enough to train at that same game time, at least a ball work session. Ive heard of ricky stuart pulling players out of bed at midnight to do this, just to see if his players were switched on, that was when he won with the roosters, maybe he needs to revert to that crap again the way he has been going.

if i was coach of a team, for a skills session of an hour or two every week id make the ball soapy and crucify players that drop it. A fundamental of a game such as catching the ball is so often butchered.

Also on the note of training, does anyone have any idea of how long they train for (in an average week). With all the promoting and talk shows etc excluded, i wonder how many hours they 'work' compared to the average of, say 38/40 hours per week a normal person with a fulltime job does.

The dead v don't even train

Bit OT but I always used to wonder what the soccer stuff in TT's profile was, did a bit of research and looks like he's a big Bayern Munich fan.

So I'm wondering why is that all gone and a profile pic of some guy with with his face crossed out?

Turns out its the manager and they got flogged 4-0 lol, I think he may be a bit cranky.

How are you going to resurrect them?
