I'm sure we've all got a few.

The weirdest thing I've eaten... lamb brains! Yep... not that I knew it. I saw what looked to be chicken of some sort on the table, and... to be honest it didn't taste that bad, however after being told what it was, I decided that once in a lifetime was enough :lol:

Here it is:

In grade 8 Home Economics, some girls from an older class brought in a couple of trays of deep fried lambs' brains and told us they were chicken nuggets. They were delicious but when they told us what they really were at least 2 girls vomited. Pretty awesome

:lol: Yeah that's what I thought it was. It looks like something between Chicken nuggets and Chicken Schnitzel. I learnt my lesson from that one though.

I've eaten some weird shit in China. Some probably weirder than I know as plenty of stuff I still have no idea what it was. Probably best not to know. lol.

The weirdest stuff I ordered again knowing what it was is Goose intestines. Like chewy flat noodles, but delicious.

Lamb brains aren't all that weird

I guess it depends on the individual.

Something I've also tried that's heard of but probably not tried to westerners is frogs legs. They taste surprisingly similar to chicken as they're usually cooked with garlic - they're just a bit more chewier.

Frog in Malaysia is called Padi Chicken. It's like mild fish. Or crocodile actually.

Jellyfish soup.

Lamb brains aren't all that weird

This times a thousand.

On topic:

* bear claw soup (and it was fantastic)
* the broiled head of a lamb, eyeballs and all (it was very tasty)
* fried worms
* fried spider
* fried scorpion
* raw lobster (as in, alive and kicking while the chef cut it apart; it was delicious, but I felt horrible)
* casu marzu
* black rice (rice cooked with squid ink; it is awesome)
* dog
* cow hoof and tail soup
* witchetty grub

And I'm sure forgetting other things.

I could have sworn this was already a thread...

- Live sea cucumber
- Fried starfish
- Fried grasshoppers and honey bees
- Still moving octopus tentacles
- Chocolate dipped scorpion
- Boiled silkworm larvae
- Drunk shrimp (live shrimp put into a coma by baiju)
