a few people so focussed on what we have lost rather than what we've gained.

I am happy with what we have for 2015 given that for the first time in a while, if all of our players are available, we have a strong 13, with some quality in bench forwards, and some quality in depth. tepai was good last season despite being basically a kid playing in a top league. he will be even better for the experience. Paulo, Edwards and mau also have more kms in the and should also improve. mannah is a good quality reliable prop. plus add wicks and twatmough and we have some good go forward for sandow and Norman to play off. more so if peats stays fit and has recovered well from his surgeries.

by the time he city/country farce rolls around I think people will be very happy with hopoate unless he's injured.

Not fussed on our recruitment but i really think this bloke is he real deal.

No nonsense with him, no bullshit he tells it how it is and you can tell his players respect him and want to play for him. He will also be a the main reason why we a big chance to sign Foran.

What i dont understand is the hype about watmough instilling toughness into the team.

We had the toughest, most committed and would leave nothing in the tank, in hindmarsh and it didnt work with him.

Maybe it was the influence of the princess and his pampering by coaches that ruined team moral. I know i wouldnt be happy about getting flogged in the gym if hayne was at the same time sipping on lattes down at the cafe.

well realistically, at the end of the day, recruitment is all about the coach .... so if you think he's the real deal, then you should f**kin lighten up a bit and give it the benefit of the doubt before giving yourself an aneurism over it

Fair enough, at the end of the day all we all want is for Parra to be successful. I am a pessimist by nature but it's a bit hard not to be after our last 5 years.

Hindmarsh went about his buissness quietly.Watmough is aggressive something hindy was not. Also hindy peaked earlier in his career.By 25 he lost his running game and was soley a defensive player.Hindy was all heart and left nothing in th tank.Never stopped trying.Watmough is more tough aggressive type.If someones taking it easy I think he will give it to them.Like Ennis

Leading by example isn't always enough. Communication is important. Plus it's likely that Hindy's performance was just due to him being a genetic freak. Even when he first came into grade he was freakishly strong (and he wasn't small like Watmough) and very quick for a big man. The talk about a heart like Phar Lap sounds like a compliment to his attitude but it's more likely that he just had a massive aerobic capacity. There's nothing inspirational to a young player about a 'leader' that is just physically superior like Hindmarsh (and Hayne).

Plus if you've read Hindy's book he was a poor trainer, at least initially. And he seemed to have a loser attitude.

Anthony Watmough has obviously worked his ring out for everything he's achieved. Plus he's a proven winner.

That's why cranky bastards like Watmough, Manu Ma'u and Danny Wicks are gonna toughen up our pack in a mongrel sort of way.
