fwiw - even Skip Bayless tweeted out that the PI call was correct. Some explaining will need to be done by the NFL on this.

Dave Dameshek‏@Dameshek

Maybe the holds by Tyron Smith & Ronald Leary cancelled each other out on the GW touchdown?

this one has quotes from other teams about it

NFL Execs Pissed That Head Of Officiating Was Seen On Cowboys Party Bus
http://deadspin.com/nfl-execs-pisse...source=deadspin_twitter&utm_medium=socialflow

Here's a sampling of the outrage:

"That's definitely Dean," said an official with one club... "Is the league trying to tell you it's not him? What is the league telling you guys about it? That looks horrible. I can't think of another owner in the league who wouldn't be pissed off after seeing that."
"So, should I have my owner take him to a strip club when he visits us?" asked one team official, hypothetically. "Is that how it works? We like Dean a lot, but let me tell you, if that was him out with (the owner of a rival of the club this official works for), my owner would be going nuts. This just can't happen.
"It's total hypocrisy. This is a league where some people are above the law, but if you are a coach or a player or a low-level team employee, look out ? they'll throw the book at you. They take away your pension. I'll give Stephen credit, at least they took a bus. (Colts owner Jim) Irsay should have got a bus a long time ago. Have they gotten around to disciplining him yet?"
"There shouldn't be any situation like this going on that could cloud his judgment. How is this protecting the shield? The league loves to throw that term around when it applies to players. So how is this not an issue now?"

:whistle

seattle open 11 point favorites against Carolina. If history is anything to go by we should be able to cover that.

2012: SEA @ CAR 16-12
2013: SEA @ CAR 12-7
2014: SEA @ CAR 13-9

I know these were all at Carolina and this game will be at Seattle but I still have confidence of keeping the game interesting.

I think the Ravens and Cowboys could cause upsets, Seattle and Denver should win through pretty comfortably

If we play the way we did today, no chance.

But if we play the way we have for the majority of the season I would say we have a good chance.

I think Carolina is gonna get smoked

most likely. I was all for tanking towards the end of the year as the season was a write off. wanted them to rest Cam as he has obviously been playing hurt all year. I think we were 3 - 8 - 1 at the time and was hoping for a new shiny top 10 OT.

then they won a few games. and a few more. now we are in the second round of the playoffs and I couldn't be happier. :)

even if we lose by 2 scores @ Seattle this season will have been some what successful.

Im going to have at least $100 on SEA-GB-DEN-NE multi next week.
I dont give any of the winning teams this week any chance.

Baltimore could cause a boil over, if everything breaks right, but that's it. They dont have Ray Lewis and God on their side this time.

Ray was pretty ineffective by the end of his career, regardless they've given the Pats plenty of trouble before in the past at Foxborough and I think they match up pretty well.

I also think Dallas can win in GB, if they can win in Seattle they can win anywhere!

oh i dont think Ray Lewis was any good individually, but that ENTIRE defense was running on the steam of his retirement. They had 12 men on the park at all times during that run, it was quite incredible

Even the ghost of Ed Reed was making an occasional play during that play off run. Cary Williams was lights out FFS! Spooky stuff

But you're probably right, i mean, im a pretty hopeless gambler, so if im confident enough about those four to have probably $150-200 on them, for sure 2-3 of them are going down in f**king flames

Big time, he was even able to shove an official in the Superbowl with no flag or ejection

the Ravens 12th man strikes once more! One can only conclude that 12th man was the combined spirit of the two young men slayed by Ray Lewis trying to keep him on the field long enough to have his neck broken
