Also, I was speaking to my boss today about football matters. He's younger than me - thirty-eight. A Canberra fan. We were talking about Jarryd Hayne and his influence on the club. I mentioned Ken Thornett and how he had a similar influence. And you know what? He'd never even heard of Ken Thornett! I couldn't believe it! I was shocked! And I thought: this must be what it feels like to get old.
And then I thought, maybe one day some of you young blokes will be talking to a footy fan and you'll mention the name Jeff Robson, and they'll say, "Never heard of him".

No, probably not.

Jarryd...Hayne? Never heard of him.

Maybe it just depends on who he's receiving it from.

Maybe. That reminds me. I surprised my old girlfriend at her house one day and was shocked to discover her doing the nasty with her cousin. When I confronted her she said, "Don't worry, it's all relative." Was she right?

Actually, 'you' is the plural of 'thou', which we no longer use. As in Swedish, the plural became the formal singular pronoun, and in English the informal singular has disappeared from colloquial use.

I still use 'thou' all the time. As in: "Thou hast burnt my sausages one time too many, so I'm moving in with the next-door neighbour". You know, stuff like that.
