Foran's ball playing is fine. He is always top 10 for LBAs, despite sharing the quality ball with Cherry-Evans. Foran's only weakness is his long kicking game.

Ok let me put it this way Pou, game controlling abilities and yes that also includes kicking. He has never been the prime ball player/kicker. But we are paying him as though he is.

Zero Tackle isn't always reliable, especially when it comes to contracts. Plenty of clubs don't announce signings or re-signings outside the top 25 (and some don't announce durations for top 25 players) so there's no reliable way for that site to project players contract status. I believe they just assume any unknown is off contract.

Thats why I started the post with what I said. But its a good indicator of many currently off contract players. Player signed or re signed are usually updated in the media when it gets out pretty quickly.

Just watching Alex Johnston for Souths. He is f**king fast. Made a break from the back. His step and acceleration reminded me of the special one.

His passing game has looked pretty rubbish from what i have seen today, still he is lightyears better than what we have at the club.

We really blew it when we signed Watmough? Arthur's obsessing with an ageing loudmouth who has only indifferent form and injuries ahead of him and is on huge dollars, has stuffed us up for a good 3 to 5+ more years.

Imagine if we hadn't signed Watmough and instead went after Trent Merrin as we should of all along and who is on similar or even less money. Then it would of allowed us to go for the player we should of always been after and believe me his management, after last weeks Fox Sports revelations, would have been way more pleased, and that is Dale Cherry-Evans.

Instead we have 3 playmakers for next season(should Sandow stay) who aren't playmakers. Sure they have their moments, but that's the problem, they are just moments and the team results show just that.

Chrissy, as we know, is an individualist. Norman, is a dumb and petulant playmaker(no wonder he and Hayne used to argue) who rarely ever dominates a game from go to woe, but can have his great moment

And as for Foran, well his playmaking abilities will be highly tested next season, but I don't believe he has the full game dominance that a great playmaker does as can be seen time and time again at Manly, just like how he displayed in his quiet game this weekend.

But if we had gone harder for Titans forward Ryan James and focused on Merrin and DCE, who would of given our team a whole game focus and premiership look about it, something that the young but stupid current Parra players are thirsting for, well we would be looking forward to a totally different decade ahead.

But instead, we have got Wotmough, an over priced Foran, who I predict, we will destroy mentally and physically, another ageing rock star in Beau Scott, and probably Daniel Tupou, who is exactly the type of problem player(mentally switched is off more then on) that we already have an abundance of at the club and you would think the coach would be avoiding like the black death. And don't start me on the re-signing of slow poke Hopa out wide, when there is a player like Tim Simona on the open market.

There are always great forwards and backs that a club can entice and rebuild with, but there is rarely the once in a decade chance to snare a great halfback as good as DCE. We just don't seem to be able to get any of it right though unless it falls in our lap with juniors and even then we get it wrong on many occasions too.

2016, same as the 2015, same as 2014, same as 2013, same as 2012, same as, same as, same as...

Well said Ram...

Some people just like whingeing, and conveniently forget some of their other signing recommendations that retrospect has shown would have been a disaster. We are slowly coming out of era of abysmal recruiting decisions. We won't get all of them right now (Watmough hasn't thus far turned out so well), but we are doing better. Some people have absolutely nothing positive to say. If we sign an international quality half, let's whinge about the *speculated* price. If we sign a young bloke instead, and he doesn't turn out, it'll be 'why didn't we sign Foran when he was available'.

Agree 100%. It a bit early to call on Choc right now.... We know what he can produce and is capable of. We have come out of the 2010-2013 period where our purchase decisions weren't great. Some on here may say that people other than the coaching staff had a say on who to buy and who to keep. That theory is debatable and has been mentioned by plenty of merkins on here. IMHO are signings have been much better over the last 16 mths. For what it's worth All clubs have some recruitment decisions constantly questioned by the fan base and we are not alone there.

Supposedly heading to Penrith. He would be in the same boat as the Roosters as Penrith have good halves and Segeyaro there

Rumours are Hastings has a massive attitude problem (ie a complete dickhead). Pou's suggestion that he should hang out with Watts is fitting.
