Sezer and Austin playing together at the raiders next season, could be good for the blues if they can get a nice combination going.

That would depend on 3 things:

1) Thurston/ Smith/ Cronk/ Slater all playing rep football for another 4 years- until they are all 36 (unlikely)

2) None of the aforementioned players taking a golden handshake with an ESL club in the next couple of years.

3. Qld getting a 70/30 possession rate and their forwards laying a platform for them to build upon, every single Origin game.

Unlikely...

they have class players in DCE, Hunt, Morgan, Segyaro, Friend, Inglis to take over key spine positions. Queensland will have a bigger issue replacing Parker tbh.

Yeah NSW have some handy players coming through too, but QLD are well on top atm. and imo NSW just don't have the cattle to bring to the muster. Tell me, who is NSW next Joey Johns or Jarryd Hayne? where does he come from? Arguably NSW have no current state legends (you could argue Gallen is one if you really wanted to) while QLD still have 5-6.

Just my opinion, I understand completely what you are saying.

Success breeds success.

I see what you're saying, but the success that Queensland have had is easily attributed in having some of the greatest players ever play in vital positions. Slater, Lockyer, Inglis, Thurston, Cronk and Smith. Add to that other great players to compliment them. Credit needs to be given to Mal and the coaching staff. They have organised a game plan to get their best players to shine and every player has a role in that team and they execute their role well.

In saying that, their success would have been limited should our selection policies and geniused decisions made at certain times had of been better.

We have good players currently in Dugan, Jennings, the Morris brothers, Woods, Farah, Tamou, Klemmer, etc etc. And we have good players coming through in Tedesco, Cartwright, Tariq Sims, Blake Austin etc etc.

Jarryd was always an athletic freak, but he had things he needed to work on for quite a while before he was considered an Origin game breaker. Hell, I remember when people thought Slater was more of a liability early in his career.

Yeah that's why I don't understand his thought process.

NSW had golden years all the time before the QLD domination.
Before 2006, NSW had Johns, Fitler, Daley, Girdler, Gasnier etc and Mini when he was at his best.
NSW has certainly had a period where they had far more talented stock of players.
Only differences is, for QLD, there was years of structure in place to stop a decade long route happening.

Seriously how dumb are Daly & Fulton .
Look at what Mal does in the halves .
One cool calm structured player with a great kicking game ..Cronk .
One brilliant opportunist/play what's in front of him player .JT .
Works brilliantly ....look at what happens when DCE is there .

NSW can copy that .
They should have this yr .
Sezer is very much like Cronk .
Austin is very much like JT ...unpredictable ,off the cuff .
While they mightn't be in the same class ,they are very very good .
Why they don't get a shot is mind boggling .

The biggest impediment to NSW has & still is the old boys club ..bob Fulton. Cough cough .
The continued selection of Pearce is mind boggling .

Don't know about the next Joey or Hayne but here's the next Greg Inglis. Even that little bit at the end is pure Inglis.

NSW is a factory. Queensland is a family. There's the difference people.

I think it was Roy Masters who said, well before the domination of the last decade, that NSW were like a woman getting ready for a night out who had wardrobes full of dresses, and had the problem of deciding which one to wear. Queensland on the other hand were like a woman who had only one dress and so had no such problem.

Nothing has changed, its just that the Queensland dress is a very good quality one.

Such an out and out champion fullback was Hayne that it took until 2013 for him to be first choice in that position. Prior to that, Anthony Minichiello, Brett Stewart and Kurt Gidley were all preferred to him repeatedly. Johns had much the same trouble.

Well he averaged about 100m per game last year, is hard as f**k for defenders to tackle, has the ball playing skills of a half, good footwork and a honed kicking game. Captained a premiership winning side. Led his team to top four three years in a row at five eighth and is just as effective if not moreso as a ball playing second rower

When we have a blues team that is struggling for points and pretty much has the same sort of player playing from 1-17 it's probably time to think why creative players with such credentials are being overlooked

I know he's an easy and popular guy to bash, but I've generally been a Sutton fan. If they're not picking Lewis on the bench he is the next best option IMO. Would cause Qld a hell of a lot more problems then cordener or Jackson ever would.

talking about NSW origin team for 2016 now ,
is as much sense as talking about it in December 2015 .
As much sense as talking about it February 2016.

Waiting to hear Daley declare his team next year , he is already stating that the NSW players who played in Origin 3 Massacre , well it was not them playing . So they cannot be accountable for that result , he is looking for the players who really played in Origin 2 .They were the real players.

Walker would get destroyed under the high ball. He's a rep player but not on the wing. Also Josh Morris just outplayed Fergo on the weekend. Why on earth would you leave him out?
