When I first watched this kid play I thought he was an undersized backrower/lock with a ton of heart but just didnt have the explosive xfactor needed to make it. After really watching Jazz play this entire season I have come to the realization that he is heads and shoulders above any other warriors u20 player except Tofofoa Sipley. He looks to be truly the type of player a Manly or Bulldogs would produce.

I have never seen a warriors player with so much heart and such an insane work rate. I didnt want to like Jazz, I wanted to like a 6'4 monster 2nd rower coming through - but this kid works harder than any other warrior I have seen put the u20's jersey. He displays a tenacity to win and lead by example for 80mins that is just entirely un-warrior like. In the final last night you could see the disappointment he had to make it to the line to tackle the roosters player and for Abbey to be soft as tissue paper and let him through. That impressed me greatly.

When Jazz first debuted for the Warriors his reputation was he that he played very similar to Paul Gallen. This is bang on the money - he is a Gallen/Betham hybrid and I think the Warriors should invest in his future, he is exactly what the club needs, all heart, all fight, never gives up and has the same energy in the 80th min as the 1st.

What are your guys thoughts on Jazz? , he gets such little mention here, and in such a dreadful season I think he has been overlooked somewhat. Would you lock Jazz into a longer term contract with the Warriors? - is he a keeper in your eyes?

I'd certainly give him a contract... but a longer term one? Dunno. Palavi & Bhana (who STILL have another year on their contracts.. will it even be possible to move them on?) have me a little gun-shy in that regard over non-explosive workhorse juniors in the 13 jersey.

Does look like a good player though.

I think there is a real chance that Bhana, Allwood, Louisi, Palavi will still be here next year as they may struggle no other club to pick up contracts elsewhere. If so the door for Jazz may not be open as widely as first thought.

Thats ok though as he is certainly not first grade ready, a season or two working form NSW bench would be fantastic for his growth. With the new NRL changes coming in I think he will be a valuable asset for the Warriors. I think if we lost this guy he would make it at another NRL club like Taukeiaho. While the other players are workhorses this guy actually makes impact on all his runs and defense. He is very Gallen-esq.

Plays with intensity and leads well. Well worth keeping.
(But I think the Warriors know that already.)

was reading that Dave Bhana was disillusioned at no FG and is seriously considering leaving NZ.

Impressed by Jaz, as I am with Ogden, he looks like a bigger fitter Taukieho..

I feel a bit sorry for Bhana. Hard worker and good defender but looks a bit small. However I feel the Warriors have given him false hopes. Can's see him cracking the NRL but may do well in Superleague.

More than that mate, he was told by the Warriors a week ago that he has been let go. He was hurting a bit over it, loves the club and wanted to debut here but he is out the door not by his own choice.

Ogden looks good but id rate RFM streets ahead of him.

David's not a first grader because, well, David's not good enough. Intelligent guy from all reports but he's just not a first grade footballer.

Bigger than Taukieaho, that will do me. Taukieaho was always big and strong in NYC, and always dominant.

Jazz, not sure. He does have a number of sloppy errors in his game and can miss one on one tackles on bigger guys. He works hard and does have good skill, but there are a lot of Warriors I could mark with the same review and I think Jazz, like the other Warriors, needs to cut the silly errors out and the missed tackles behind the ruck out. At one point in the game against the Roosters he had 2 goes on the same bloke (wasn't the only one who missed though) and missed for the Rooster to score a try that they certainly shouldn't have scored.

At this point Jazz reminds me a bit of Adam Docker who is also an undersized but tenacious forward. Has a lot going for him and doesn't show much fear, but there are a few things I'm not convinced he can overcome to be anything more than a role player or one of those depth guys who comes in when a first place player goes down.

agreed with the comments on bhana

previous management would of kept him for sympothys sake, not doyle. ive watched a few games with bhana playing and hes a real workhorse. tackles everything but has zero imput on attack. there is a reason why he continuosly getting over looked for sione and sebastion and thats cos hes just good enough. wish him well in the future but imo a good buisness decision

Jazz is a Super League player, I reckon. And he'll kill it there. Big effort guy, fans will love him, still has skill but I don't reckon he fits any position in the NRL. Probably still could play 14, I guess.

He had his moments with us but he was always a guy who cared. Just too passionate at times and let his brain run away from his body

Good for him, always played with a full ticker and the same can't be said for a LOT of Warriors over the decades.

I was a bit gutted he left, I think he did a fine job off the bench especially in early 2023.
He just had a mistake or two too many in him and never really fixed that up.
