Really starting to warm to Complacent, was just going to chuck something on him because I was on him but time in the CC but actually think he might be the best of the local chances.

Just think he will get the perfect run in this and with so much pressure in it then it might prove to be the horse with the best constitution wins it, apparently he worked a treat during the week also.

At 21s I think he is worth a throw at the stumps.

Wouldn't completely rule out his stablemate just quietly either.

Really need to study the form.

After saying Winx had no hope earlier in the week, the more the week goes on, the more I like it...I can't back Arod with the plonker Williams on board! Will probably ride the thing backwards and finish last!

Winx won the Qld Oaks over 2400m but imo she is a miler and miler's dont win Cox Plates,2400m against own age group isn't really a proper staying test, the likes of Starcraft and Mahogany won Derbies and they weren't stayers,im happy to leave out the milers Winx and Kermadec.

Kents prob run the quinella now

Milers like Sacred Falls,Almalad,Wandjina and Royal Descent(her best form around the mile journey imo) were found wanting in last years Cox Plate when the Cleaner went nuts up front and made it a true staying test, the first 3 home in last years Cox Plate had all shown 2400m form in the past.

Happy to leave out Winx and Kermadec

Arod's best performances have come in small fields when he has had a cosy time up front,if this horse tries to take on The Cleaner early its chances are f**ked son.

Griante looked in good order in the morning before the Cox Plate draw, she's worth a tenner at giant odds tonight

Do not like 8 year olds in the cox.

Arod looks all class as does Highland Reel.

I like the fillie too. That is my triffy.

Should be called the Northern Dancer Cox plate, their all cousins.

That Oaks was only over 2200m,do agree 2400m form will be needed with so much speed up front. It's a tough race but Highland Reel with 2400m form he's drawn well and only has 56kgs being a Northern time 4yo. Will be throwing something on old mate Preferment, doesn't owe me a cent after backing him his last two starts and think with all the pressure up front this might be won by a strong stayer which he is. They didn't swap him from a winnable Caulfield Cup for nothing.

Good point. Gust of Wind made her look pretty average in the Oaks when she made it a true staying test.

She will need a Pinker Pinker-esque run in transit to be a chance.

I still think she will run well but I'm prepared to risk her, will throw her in First 4s but probably not the Quaddie.

I know Adelaide did it last year but I hate backing horses not having a run in Australia first. Has 2400m form but in the UK, Australia is a different kettle of fish coming out for 1 run. May win but I'm happy to only have a saver on it. Rock bottom odds.

If there is speed, Preferment comes right into it. Have Winx on top, saver on Preferment and Kermedec (purely on odds, as I'm in the boat of forgiving his last run at Caulfield)
