The current board didn't know jack about running a club. I'm sure that an independent board chosen on merit, experience in the club and business scene would do a better job than the current backyard hillbillies we have now. And they have to be Parra people. As to the ways these independent board people are chosen eg the processes involved getting this happening - I'm not sure.

If we don't move to a new board independent of factions and in fighting we will not survive.

How will it be independent of factions and infighting when germs like you keep hanging on to old grudges?

I haven't seen or heard of a problem with the running of the PLC by the same backyard hillibillies (your name not mine).
Renovations/extensions planned over the next few years, including multi-storey carpark, on-premise hotel, entertainment centre... all things the members of the PLC support.

So why would the PLC members want to change the board and management of the PLC?

And before you accuse me of being an apologist, I am as pissed off as the next ParraEels non-voting, season ticket holding, supporter/customer that the brand I am invested in is being dragged through the mud by what is a combination of a certain element of the media, former employees/directors and without a doubt, an immature Board of Directors who I think the majority of have the best intentions.

Sacking the lot of them doesn't work though. Tidying up the processes within the organisation, introducing some experienced help in the form of a limited number of independent directors and removing any that don't have the best intentions of the Club at heart would actually be the best solution IMHO.

This whole episode underlines the problem with having born to rule mentalities in the background

Pretty confident all clubs provide under the counter deals for TPA providers, the real essence of the matter is the lengths certain people will go to in an attempt to regain control. As soon as we obtained a roster and the basis of a competitive side, out they come

I think Matters suggestion that a lot of info may have come from an ex employee is worth considering

If you have people who want to see the club fail as a demonstration of how good they were previously and should still be in charge, then we are are that place now

No excusing the current admin, but gee, they were undermined from the start. I did think that bringing Shoebox on board would solve these issues

The suggestion that the Emperor should return by his good mate on radio, may give an insight to a few things

It's also the NRL's opinion, which they put a rule in place for. I'm interested in knowing how you would organise TPAs without going against NRL rules and without it adding to the salary cap?

Possibly an ex-employee who has teamed up with an ex-Director even.
