I wouldn't worry too much about retaining Foran. Good player but we paid overs. Hopefully if he leaves early we'll discover he did plenty of rubbing off on other players.

When Foran was so hesitant to come to the Eels just based on instability, do you really think he is going to stick around after the opening of hells gate?

Foran is an amazing player and person but only human. There is always an out, just ask Jamie Lyon.

When you have a surplus of hookers and only one way to play for points a business decision has to be made. Just like the NRL CEO made a business decision to terminate us. It is sad but since when do any fans care about loyalty to shit players? Just because he is good doesn't make a difference.

I agree. Anyone who buys into it the Eels making the finals is buying into the NRL trying to maximise their revenue. Though this is also the case for the Eels. I only advocate any rash decisions like this if the board is successful in getting the sentence reduced. If not we may as well prevent injuries and play touch football the rest of the games this season. One has to wonder if the NRL only made the decision to let us play for points because the investigation was leaking so early on that it forced their hand.

I would be letting this season go, try my best to keep the side we have and find a replacement for Junior.


This season is a total right off but why risk next seasons as well for a pipe dream???

Very likely. They don't want us to play finals this year and this investigation drags on well into the season, there is always a way. Crossing their fingers that players spirits have been crushed.

My major concern in all of this, is the role the CEO of the NRL played. He referenced Seward into the job, advised on TPAs (ok probably correctly but who knows after being at Dogs). the final insult , called on him to come and expose the team, this is the guy that recommended him, oversaw his work and then used him to screw our club over. Think it might be dangerous if he turned up at Parramatta Stadium, the pelican

Then after basically confirming the cap was in order this year, sought to arbitrarily add $700k to ensure we had to lose players, for the good of the game he stated , go screw yourself. For the good of the Qld teams and your pet club

We need to see action on the Broncos and their missing manager, and all the other rorts that are out there. There are too many powerful and political influences at clubs not in Western Sydney ( don't think I am allowed to name them), that Greenberg just won't confront, that's why Smith was moved on, wouldn't play the Head Office game

No disrespect to morgs but the quality between the 2 is chalk and cheese. Plus i think morgs deal was done before the punishment was announced he was in the storm change rooms the week before the rep round

Yep being saying that from the start. Nrl are offering a token chance to us to keep crowds and ratings as high as possible for as long as possible. I say f*ck me not our problem. Our concern should be 2017 now.
We should actually renegotiate contracts and pay players more this year since we are over the cap anyway(yes I know it wouldn't work they would penalize us more and refuse to register contracts)
