Rabbitohs signings, rumours and injuries 2015-16 Part 2

I'm thinking more of a depth player, cheap, experienced, come in when others are injured or suspended.
Starling is no better than Tyrrell
Why go back when we are moving forward ,he was average at best
Surely there are better quality young bulls out their who offer an offload as well IMO starling is a big step backwards we don't need him

We already have roughly 2 million tied up in the burgess twins, sam and Musgrove. We can't afford to sign top line middle forwards. If we sign guys like vaughan, moa or douglas we'll be dedicating half our cap to one area. We need some cheaper reliable forwards, who would mostly play for the bears, but can come in when our top liners are injured and get a job done. Someone like starling, who wouldn't have many options this late in the year and would be available dirt cheap, would be the type of player we need. We can't have a squad of 25 full of stars unfortunately

Anyone seen anything about Joe leaving? I haven't seen anything and whilst I can't see him not joining Wigan I would love it if he wasn't.

I think they are saying that he'd earn 1.2 million next year, which means wests tigers would pay $750,000 and we'd pay $450,000. if this is true, it means he'll be earning an extra $250,000 in 2017 than what he was going to earn, lol

Probably about 450-500k.

Also above is an article for Curns mainly. It says what I'm saying Curns.
That's the article I quoted earlier in the day. It still seems very ambiguous to me. How does it make sense that he is owed 950k for next year, Tigers are paying 750k and for absolutely no reason we decided to pay not just the 200k that he is owed to make up his full salary, but also an extra 250k. Why would we do that? He isn't owed 1.2 million so why would his total salary for next year equal that? If the Tigers are indeed paying 750k and we are paying 450k then we are f**kin idiots!

I completely agree with what your saying but I think bensville was talking more about scouting youth rather than buying expensive players or experienced players like starling. I think we need a mix of youth and experience though especially with all the young stars we've signed now though.
