Yeah it's fine. You want to be spending close to the limit. If you spent $6,960,000 then you would have $40,000 left over, so when you would make a trade, you can get someone who is worth $40,000 more than who you are getting rid of.

Does that mean I could select 2 fullbacks and have one getting points on the wing even though they are a fullback???

That'll be my problem when round 1 begins.

What if your automatic emergency is a forward and the player who pulls out at the last minute is a back????

Then alien you wouldn't get any emergency points would you????

Problem is there is only a couple of substitutions you could do!!! Your guy on standby may not be playing first grade. The cheap options are generally the young guys.

With trading you only get 34. So you have to be very wise and definitely in the middle of the season trades will be needed.

I may want to trade the initial player back the next week which means you use 2 trades which is annoying due to a bye for example.

you can make as many substitutions as you want before the start of the round, but only 2 trades (3 during bye weeks). yes the cheap players that you buy should be players who you think will play first grade consistently. you also have to save trades for the end of the fantasy season because that is when our fantasy comp has a finals series, and you want plenty of trades for that. once you start playing, you'll get more used to it. the origin period is tricky but it's the same for everyone, and most teams score less those weeks. before we get to the origin period, don't forget to look forward to see what teams/players will not be playing during those weeks. you have to make smart trades

not sure. you could try it. you can make as many trades until the season starts. test things out

you should have 13 starting players, 4 reserves, and then 8 players on the interchange (who aren't in the top 17). well that's how it used to be. one of those 8 players on the interchange should be able to be selected as the emergency. there should be a button under them or something. it shouldn't matter what position the emergency is
