Ahhhh the salary cap creating equity. Newcastle would gain heaps from Bird , but here come the donkeys with commercial connections aplenty...
Business as usual at the Knights. Missing out on signings is what we do best.

We'll end up getting someone, we've got too much money to spend to not land someone. How high the overs need to be is anyones guess. We were blessed to land Ponga, but even then we're unlikely to see a legitimate return on investment for years yet.

We've got money to spend this year still, too... if someone becomes available mid-year, we're well placed. At the end of the day, if the Broncos are throwing around "wanting to play for Wayne"s under the table, then there's not much a club like ours can do about it. The NRL is unlikely to ever address TPAs at this stage, it would be a shitfight.

I really get this sick of hypocrisy crying about fairness when the Broncs lose Hunt and there none of this bashing for the Dragons.

If Broncos lose someone- "Ha Ha Ha the donkeys lose someone they can't have everyone"

If Broncos sign someone "there cheating the salary cap"

Honestly, it's a Broncos bashing either way.

I'm sure there's a thread you can necromance about it.

STFU. Donkeys fans who actually think they are on a level playing field in regards to the salary cap and TPA are the biggest morons.

Ben Hunt dropped any future contract at the Broncs in their GF loss.

That's an excruciating memory that Bennett will never overcome.

Unbeaten in Grand Finals throughout his career and then ......

Did the Broncos really want to keep Hunt?

I say no.

If he had have caught that kick off and the Broncos marched down the other end and kicked a field goal, he would have been a Bronco for life.

Corey Norman? What happened there? Broncos let go a quality half there.

Corey Norman was going to stay, but then Eels topped there offer by $50, 000 more which gave him incentive to go. Bronco's wanted Norman to stay, but they couldn't go any further. But doesn't the criticism of the Broncos losing Norman undermine the point that the Broncos poach everyone. Broncos lost Ben Hannant and David Stagg to the Bulldogs who went on to play some quality football for the Bulldogs. I've got no complaints about that either that's just part of the salary cap.

There are Dragons fans saying the Hunt figure is not correct. Thats the double standards if it's the Dragons and its printed in the media it shouldn't be believed, but if its the Broncos well then that's a different story.

Yeah? well, you know, that's just like your opinion man.

Let's not forget the Dragons started this whole circus by giving Ben f**king Hunt 1.2 million dollars a season.

Now any half decent player is worth that.

10 day cooling period is only business days, not weekends so really it is 2 weeks/14 days. Which means he pretty much has until the end of this week to decide. Still not a lot of time

Yes I know its 10 business days, but for any contracts that Woods & Tedesco sign (with us or whoever) they are also going to have a 10 day cooling off period and therefore they will not be offical until that is complete. By which time Moses is an Eel. It cant happen unless Moses is prepared to backflip on the Eels to no offer from the Tigers and simply take his chances at being off contract at the end of the year, in which case potential suitors would be reduced by at least two Sydney clubs (Roosters & Parra).

Let me suggest a hypothetical if there is any truth to the backflip rumours. Last year Moses signs with the Roosters and then he and his manager go back to the Tigers with their hand out and they backflip on the Roosters deal. Last Friday Isaac & Mitchell sign with Parra to force the negotiations with the Tigers along and put pressure on them. Tigers respond with "Sorry Mitchell, offer is off the table Teddy & Woodsy are our priorities, leaving Moses totally out in the cold.

Totally hypothetical speculation on my part but if there is any truth to wanting to backflip, coupled with Mitchell & Isaacs history of negotiations its as likely as other scenarios.

For $1.2M Hunt thought 'I might as well jump'.

That's because Broncos get more than their fare share of players on "unders", Do you honestly think any other team would get Mead, Roberts, Sims, Marshall on their official contract value?

I'm sure all 16 NRL clubs can afford a meat pie and coke, that's what Korbin's true contract worth is at.
