Just read all this off the "league live" app.
I've copied and pasted the whole article

Canterbury captain James Graham says he has been assured by coach Des Hasler he is part of the NRL club's plans for 2018.
The English forward is signed with the Bulldogs until the end of next year, but the signing of prop Aaron Woods has prompted reports Graham could be squeezed out of the club.

The Bulldogs are facing mounting salary cap pressure for next season.

They have also landed Kiwi five-eighth Kieran Foran, while Graham's front-row starting partner Aiden Tolman is signed on until the end of 2020.

The pair have been separately been linked to Newcastle, but Graham said he had been assured by the club he would remain a Bulldog in 2018.

"I've been speaking to Des and the powers that be," Graham told AAP.

"The way I've interpreted it and what's been suggested to me is that I'm going to be here next year. I'm really happy to be a part of Des' plans."

Graham has been at the front and centre of the Bulldogs' speculation this year.

A regular on NRL television programs, he admitted he found it hard to avoid the rumours which suggested he could be forced out of the club.

Hasler has previously rubbished the rumours, and Graham said he did not intentionally seek out the coach to confirm his place at the club.

"We were just talking and it was just a conversation that went that way," he said.

"I asked him a couple of things and I came out of it pretty happy."

Graham turns 32 at the end of next season when he is off contract, and he said he has no plans yet for how long he will play on.

Nor is he committed to whether he will finish his career in the NRL or the English Super League, after he arrived in Australia in 2012 having already previously won the ESL's MVP Man of Steel before.

"I'm very open minded about where I'm going to end up," he said.

"There are too many variables and too many different situations that could arise.

"I wouldn't want to set myself up for disappointment if I said 'I definitely want to stay here' or 'I'm definitely going to go back home'.

"You're only one tackle away from having that taken out of your hands."

I'm really happy with Gagai. I rate him as one of the best backs in the NRL and he will certainly add a lot of strike to our backline. He can play fullback, centre, even wing and it will be interesting to see where he slots in. Another leader in the backs to help mentor the younger guys too. Him and GI could be lethal next year.

I regards to AJ and Gray, I want us to keep at least one, if not both. We all know Gray is a great player and AJ is a great winger, I admit he's not a great fullback though so keep him on the wing.

If you ask me I would say let Goodwin go/retire (sorry R20). Don't get me wrong, I love him as a player, he is a good player and he is one of my favourites but lets be honest, he is getting on a bit and it would benefit the team more if we kept Gray and AJ over Goodwin. I just think this backline below would be awesome.

1. Gagai
2. Johnston
3. Inglis
4. Gray/Hunt
5. Hunt/Gray

The problem with Gray and Aj is, Gray wants to play in the centres and Aj wants to play at fullback

Well it's not looking like we'll get Mitchell atm so I think GI will be fullback next year with Gagai as one centre, we're supposed to be signing another back but I don't know who that is, Gray was on the news saying he didn't know what he was doing next year but I have heard that the sharks have made an offer.

Gray is our best centre, why shouldn't we play him there? The only thing going against him is that he is a better wing than the other options.
I like Goodwin but if i was to choose between him or Gray, I'd pick Gray everytime.

Get rid of Goodwin and use the money to entice Gray to stay. We should try turn him into a Mansour-esque winger alongside GI until he retires then get him into the centres.

Also just saw an interview with Gagai who said he's concentrating on the Knights this year which is pretty much a sign of things.

Agreed, we can't let another Mansour leave!

Gagai is just reading off the same script every player does when it comes to contract rumours

How much do you guys think Gray should be offered??? My opinion is he should be offered an amount that a solid first grade outside back should get, but not an amount that a rep outside back would get because he is solid but not THAT good, and he seems injury prone.

He averages 4 tries a game at rep level, pretty decent strike rate that

The way all the media are talking up here in Newy they have basically accepted that he is leaving to join us.
I'm not so sure. With cooling off periods it now gives the knights one last crack at him and they can probably afford to pay him more.
