WHAT THE F*CK?

How can you drop Nene? Are we watching the same team?
I have to, surprisingly, agree with you here. Nene has been good this year - consistent with his carries, hard pushed in defense (but who hasnt on that right edge!) but given opportunities, he's shown his class.
Only bad thing he did today was try to push the offload after a glorious catch.

I thought Mann missed a lot of tackles in the first half so I checked the NRL site for stats. He missed 6 tackles in the match. Most, if not all, all of those must have been in the first half because he didn't get much game time at all in the 2nd half.

I can't seem to work it out. If Mann has a ordinary games he gets pull or dropped to Reggies.

If McCrone has a bad game, he starts te following week.

What am I not understanding?

Specialist right centre with experience on the bench is the difference, if there was anyone who is a specialist halfback whos playing well in the lower grades would be in the team by now.

Had Hutchinson not been injured at the start of the year or we were actually able to land a halfback signing last year, we wouldn't even be having the discussion of whether or not McCrone's suitable for first grade.

I think it's Mary's coaching style. He's defensively focussed. If Mccrone missed 6 tackles in a half I'm pretty sure Mary would hook him.

I'm not so sure he would hook McCrone und er those circumstances..

I think he would if he had a half on the bench (say Field or Mann). On this occasion he had Milne on the bench. I think it was the right call at the time. Who could have predicted that Milne would be just as bad? Anyway it's all speculation, Mccrone wasn't too bad today and Mann was very poor today.

Mann will be a long term first grader, and he's shown signs that he might have some match winning abilities. Let's hope he can play a leading role in taking us all the way this year.

Yes definitely, Dugan refuses to attack the ball, and catch it on the full.,Time& time again he waited for the ball to bounce. I think a move to centre is on the cards.Nighty to fullback,Man on the wing.
We always let the ball bounce it f**king shits me tears. We give the opposition 20metres every time we let it bounce.

Funny how Aitken cops it on here for defensive reads.

Anyone notice Nene coming off his wing and not trusting his centre today?
It's a bad habit.

Mann isn't there physically. Just a good clubman who is a bits n pieces player at times.

Mary has had every oppurtunity to give Nona a run at 7 and has refused based on the simple fact he was one of JD's boys and he may actually offer something different to the team.

Any coach with half a brain or some balls would bite the bullett and move McCrone to the bench of reserves but not him he is an arrogant merkin who refuses to admit he is wrong.

Add to that Milne on the bench is a waste and he showed today he isn't worth a bench spot and should be dropped.

Sele had an off day but a stint in reserves would not hurt him with Leilua or Host being brought in.

Dugan honestly he is rather piss weak and its starting to show even more so these days.

Is this thread correct? Has Mann been re-signed? If so what position will he play in the future. Utility?

Theres no way in the world Nene should be dropped..... for whom anyway....our back line is bad enough now without dropping someone who has been gaining yardage for us every week.....granted he need some work in some areas of his game but theres a lot of blokes in our backline that needs more work than him...was great to see him finally use his height and take that bomb but he spoilt it by trying to offload it to early...theres the area he needs work on not by punting him....the coach needs to get young Lafai aside and tell him to stop trying to get the miracle offload away every time he runs with the ball...it was ok now and again and he got the results but he wants to do it all the time now.....having said all; that our backline really needs a lot of work...not sure if its doable or not at this stage of proceedings

Every team has a loss and we must admit it the GRUBS ,had every reason to play well today they met us on a day where some of our big guns were shall we say missing in action .there is no reason to throw in the towel yet .but some decisions need to be made .Mary has to stop looking at next week and start thinking about the rest of the season .Milne is on the way out .Mann is not a centre yet we must have somebody better than those 2 .Paul you need to find a right centre simple enough.unfortunately mcgroan seems to have no competition Nona is hurt.so it's a holding pattern till BEN HUNT gets here .doesn't look !like this year unfortunately.
