Pretty excited. With a full preseason training besides GI he could be a great Fullback. Then there's AJ who's really shaping up in that position. So many options. We do need to get that one more back though.

I still wouldn't discount Burns or Jennings but I think we should go for Gerard Beale just for backup.

I can't believe there aren't more teams that aren't after him. Would be a really solid buy for us. He's not flashy by any means but he's got experience and can definitely finish. One of the best outside backs on the open market I really hope Souths are considering him. Burns and Jennings will need another year or two.

Exactly brother. He's very versatile too and would make even more competition for spots. I think he'd be a solid buy as he wouldn't cost heaps either.

Best thing about Beale besides his experience is his versatility. Like Gagai he can play 1-6 if needed. Very handy considering our lack of depth this year.

Well if you think about it. We would have a back 3 of Gagai, AJ and Beale. They can all play fullback or centre even if it's not their best position they can still play. With GI and maybe hunt in centres it's looking a lot better back there. Honestly fuimaono has been great back there as well I wonder if maybe he prefers centre over second row. But I also really like hunt so either way I don't mind.
