Rebuilding time- who do we keep?

its clear we need a coeaboutand rebuild. Disregarding who is contracted, who would you keep and who would you ditch? For mine:

Keep:
Mannering
SJ
Fus
RTS
Gavet
CNK
Roache
Lino
Ayshford

As far as I'm concerned everybody else should be sweating like hooded rapists right now because none of them particularly deserve to be there. Especially the coach.

I'd keep Ken. I've harped on about it but he had a golden patch mid season when Kata was away for a month, and he got to.play like a winger. Papaiili looked full of enthusiasm. I think we need to look at our fitness team and if we're sticking with Kearney, then get a defense coach that can build a defensive pattern and teach the players how to tackle

Read an article that there's a couple of signings to be announced this week. Then another one straight after about Carlos Spencer mulling over coming out of union retirement. That night I woke up in a cold sweat from an awful nightmare :/

We're in a terrible position thanks to some terrible recruitment. And no, excuses are not valid. People move city/state/country all the time for opportunity and/or more money. It might be harder to get certain recruits (and impossible in some cases), but by no means does that excuse a 2 man 'in' list - and a 1 man 'in' list last year. Stop obsessing over the big names and start building a f***ing squad.

Ideally... (recruits in bold - recruits I've 'made', rather than Harris/Pulu)

1. RTS
2. Fusitua
3. Ayshford
4. Jeremy Hawkins
5. Maumalo (only because I can't parachute the ISP wingers straight in and I want CNK at centre)
6. Hingano (VERY tempted to go after Darren Nicholls and put him here, Ata to ISP)
7. SJ
8. Gavet
9. Roache
10. Jeremy Latimore
11. Pulu
12. Harris
13. Mannering

14. Luke (unless we can move his contract, Manaia probably takes this spot anyway, Luke > ISP)
15. Vete
16. Lisone (one more year, with clear instructions that he's a prop not a half - Satae to replace otherwise)
17. Tevaga

ISP
1. Santo
2. Johnny Tuivasa-Sheck
3. CNK
4. Fotu/Pauga (Pauga is only a NRL prospect at wing I think, but competes here until a spot opens)
5. Ratu Tuisese
6. Cook (moves to bench/utility if Nicholls comes into NRL pushing Ata down)
7. Lino
8. Abraham Papalii (kind of a recruit.. legitimate NRL potential here, make him play big minutes)
9. Cherrington
10. Satae
11. Afoa (I want to see him given more time to develop here, I don't think he'll make it as a middle)
12. Ogden (wishful thinking that he was staying, Papalii if not - or bring back Niukore?)
13. Nick Brown

14. Bell
15. P.Sipley
16. D.Palavi
17. Sao

The four recruits in ISP are development options in areas where we are weak. The two in the NRL team are immediate first team guys.

Latimore is quality, nothing flashy but gets his work done and can pump out 40-45 good minutes - first grade hardened.

Hawkins is the best centre not in the NRL right now.

JTS is a hard worker on the field, hasn't had the best of years though despite playing on the wing for the top team in the ISP - but he has potential, and might help keep one of our decent players around.

Tuisese is a guy I've admired for a while. Has been playing Ron Massey cup for much of the season because Penrith are so ridiculously stacked, but played well when in ISP (and has scored a bucketload in RM). Genuine winger, can work early in sets if needed but so much more. Can break tackles, score tries and defend.

Brown is a workhorse. I'd put Josh Kerr (Dragons ISP, graduated Storm NYC in 2016) if I thought we had a chance of getting him, but he's on contract and the Dragons football department don't seem dumb enough to let him go (worth a try though). Kerr is special, but Brown is pretty good too.

Abraham Papalii could be a plug and play replacement for the brutal prop prospect we never should have lost... Tof Sipley.

Sending Ayshford to reggies is pretty harsh, one of the few reliable constants we have.

The moment we dump Luke and Kata above all else will turn us around, they're living breathing examples that our club embraces greedy lazy mediocrity.

I'd also personally have Fus at fullback and hand captaincy to SJ; sorry Roger but you're just not cutting it, burn that pace on the wing with a decent centre.

Best to leave Nick Brown out of your ISP team as he's a good ground announcer.

They can rebuild all they like but if we don't get a decent front row with at least one with a good offload it'll be a waste of time.

still say they need to stop looking at big names/paying overs and take a few risks on 4 or 5 promising types in lower tier NSW and QLD comps (props mainly) The current model doesnt work.

Maybe spend a bit of money on a half decent scout. Would Bennet have had the success he did without Cyril Connell on his books?

We should've kept Ackland in the recruitment role.

Ackers can definitely spot talent
He had a run with Scurrah and Elliot. The Warriors should go back, tail between their legs and ask him to return to the club in some capacity - coaching, development, recruiting.

f**k them all off starting with the coach

Let Mannering and Johnson go on compassionate grounds

Not sure he's much of a coach but I'd throw a juicy offer at him to head up recruiting and development.
