Tbh the past US election was contested by the worst two candidates of all time. Clinton is utterly out of touch and genuinely nasty, Trump is the personification of ego, hot air, and bullishly low intelligence. The political barracking that went on (and is still going on) was mind boggling given how abysmal the options were. And it's starting to happen more and more here too.

It is quite funny that Rammy bemoans the media but gobbles up the stuff that the right-wing media is pushing like a private school boy gobbles semen.

Are you suggesting that bc some prediction polls in the US were proven to be inaccurate then that means that all polls are herinafter are a waste of time ?

I would have thought that the methodology of those polls first needed review. But hey, you’re the analyst. What would I know.

Do you think it is worse now because Trump has given a reason to the redneck population and anyone who is racist or wants to have automatic assault rifles etc. that they will get what they want and completely rid their country of the illegal immigrants and African Americans (probably by using their automatic weapons to achieve it) so they are even more behind him because they got him in?

And the opposite are the people who he scares the living shit out of because he may just get what he wants so they push back the other way just as aggressively because they feel it is the last hope for the country?

I think it's worse because people here think that barracking for the left or the right in Aussie politics means they are experts on US politics

I think political polls run in the US have proven to be no longer reliable. It only takes one black swan to prove not all swans are white.

He's a genius manipulator (he proved that in the way he manipulated middle America into putting him in office), but he's certainly not an overly smart man and when you couple that with his bottomless arrogance and stubbornness it only serves to neuter whatever intelligence he does have.

I don’t think he cares how he comes across. He is getting shit done and has completely reshaped American politics. Not many career politicians would’ve had the balls to do what he’s done. Now they will all have to do it.
