When Tampa won it in ‘03 I had been following them for about 8 years. I was blind drunk for a week post SB win. Was an amazing season.

merkins havent won a play off game since, FML.

FYI, Cooks established himself as a runner, isnt given the head to head protections as a WR anymore at that point. He's a RB
The hit was completely legal.
I know its legal, but i'd rather it made illegal, like he got that flush on the temple and was out cold for a good 15 secs, one day one of them won't wake up.

Hopefully that’s not what Philly does after getting their first SB win. I feel like something special is brewing though. Fingers crossed

Yeah I agree
They’ve got to try and legislate that out going forward

Foles asked for the Philly Special, Doug said 'yeah, let's do it.'
The Legend of the Philly Special just got another chapter to it.

Thanks to the microphones of NFL Films, we now know it was Nick Foles who first called for it when walking over to Doug Pederson prior to the insanely gutsy 4th down play call.

"Philly, Philly?" Nick says.

Pederson's face lights up.

"Yeah, let's do it," Doug responds.

I got goosebumps hearing it.

The rest is Eagles history.

"That's just something we've been working on, and Doug and I were talking," Foles said. "I was like, 'Let's just run it.' It was a good time, and the end was a little wider than I thought so I was like, 'I really need to sell like I'm not doing anything.' And it worked. Trey made an amazing throw, right on the money. I just looked it in and yeah, we've ripped it for a while, so I was excited to get to run it in the Super Bowl."

Love this. Doug deserves a lifetime contract.

The Kobe vid resonated with me so much, not on that scale because my kids weren’t with me on Monday but I’ve been there so many times with kids in hand watching them play

The whole “no, no, no, no, no” thing followed by unbridled joy. Every fan of any team has been there

Sometimes I don’t mind Skip he does say some things that are 100% but he was on Brady’s pipe so hard. So to Colin Cowherd

Skip and Shannon are my favourite duo just because they play so well off each other. Shannon is almost like a muppet he's so animated, but I find him entertaining because of it. Skip balances it out nicely.

But yeah, he's all over Brady like an avocado on bread.

Cowherd I go back and forth on because it feels like he changes his narrative from week to week. Paints a good (but sometimes long winded) picture, but usually makes a reasonable point (even if contradicting last weeks reasonable point).

I'm a Bengals fan. We have won one playoff game since the Superbowl in 1988 when I started following them. That was in 1991.

I enjoyed the game, obviously I was rooting for the Eagles as most were, we watched in a pub at Darlinghurst, really good atmosphere.

While Foles was great, I think Doug Pederson was the real MVP of this game. The best thing he did in the game was make really good adjustments. He knew the Patriots were going to jump the slant on the run/pass option so he had the Eagle receivers run a 7 route. When the Patriots had trouble stopping the run in the first half, Belichick switched to the 46 (the Bear defense) just as he did against the Jaguars. Unlike the Jaguars, Pederson did not continually pointless ram his running backs into a stacked 8 man front. The Eagles won because Doug Pederson outcoached Bill Belichick, the players had to execute, but Pederson called a great game.

Be interesting to see where Foles lands

Ohio is a pretty cursed state in sports lol.
Unless it's college ball but even Ohio St can't get it up these days.

Someone should do a thread or resurface one on who's most likely to pop their cherry next.
My pick is Vikings.

Depends if they can get a QB. I'm not sure that any they had this year are good enough to get them over the top. If they had a go at Cousins I could see them doing that.

List of teams. I've had a go at ranking them in order of how I likely I see them winning in the next 2 seasons (after that it's a crapshoot).

Vikings - If they get a QB like Cousins. - Other they will end up mid team
Texans
Falcons
Titans
Jaguars
Panthers
Lions
Browns
Chargers
Bengals
Cardinals

Of the teams that have never won one I still believe Atlanta are best placed to win sooner rather than later. This season was always going to be tough after losing the SB in the manner they did. I think their window is still open.

I have a feeling the Vikings will be a big flop next year and finish behind both Green Bay and Detroit.

Agreed on Atlanta
They’ll have the home SB thing fueling them too. I think their D needs to step up its game a little but otherwise it’s all there for them

Don’t agree on the vikes. Though that qb situation is murky af! I think if they get the qb situation right, they’ll be a contender again

But you know what? We get Carson back, JP back, Hicks back, Margos back, Sproles back, we get Sidney Jones off his red shirt at our biggest need spot, and we get to supplement the roster with this years draft

Philly will still be the best team in the nfc in 2018. Why not us?!? Haha

Disagree on Atlanta, I think they should be close to the bottom.
You can't lose a SB like that and not have trauma.
They fell to water against the Eagles, Ryan was in a position to strike back but floundered just like he did in the SB.

And yes think Eagles are likely to get back there, but I hope Dallas spoils the party.
It would be amazing to boot them out in the NFC championship, glory replaced with rage lmao.

Dallas will bounce back you'll see.
Giants depends on how the draft goes.
Interesting to see how the AFC side of things pans out.
Would be nice to see some representation that isn't a Manning, Brady or Roeslesberger led team, maybe KC makes a run with Mahomes.

It might be because I hate Dallas, but I think they’ve got a few major issues:

1. Just not sold on the qb. Don’t know if he’s a legit top 12 qb
2. The coach stinks
3. Issues all over the D, I’ll be stoked if they pay Lawrence. LB’s are ordinary, except for Lee who can’t stay healthy
4. Receivers suck. Dez can’t play, Williams reeks and Witten is just not that guy anymore

Those are major concerns. Though if I’m wrong about #1, that can gloss over the rest
