f**k me greed just has no bounds..

The only was this stops is the players band together.. and just say enough enoughs ..

Stop taking dodgy cash ..

They are all on good cash .. when you are offered something dodgy knock it back

It's not the players our role to "refuse" money.

Your suggestion is dumb, and you should be embarrassed.

Should the NRL be the ones responsible for all payments made to players? TPA’s must be registered by the NRL first and if anyone is caught receiving payment illegally, the club is automatically stripped of X points for the current season and the following one?

My take on it is that the NRL is happy for Third Party Payments as it allows more profitable and likely more popular teams to consistently field a good squad. Best players at best clubs while claiming a level playing field it’s win win. Can play these popular teams with the best players every week in prime time slots.

How does that explain the Sharks situation then

complicit, yes you are correct. Thank You.

Seeing the Manly Eel Roosters Sharks fans try and defend their salary cap rorting over the years since then on social media is hilarious.

The very same people who were baying for blood in 2010, appalled by the systematic cheating, are now clambering over one another to defend it. Almost all of them are now trying to say, "This is way different to the Storm in 2010, we were under the cap, we just didn't record our TPAs player housing arrangements correctly self reported, so all good".

Huh??? That is exactly the same you disingenuous people. Not reporting all TPAs to the NRL, organising a number of TPAs, using existing club sponsors, guaranteeing TPA payments = All illegal TPA deals. If it is illegal, it gets included in your Salary Cap - THE SAME AS US!

Please leave the roosters out of any of your slander talk.

Thank you,
Administration.

This will end up as another on going investigation that will find nothing, but the ARLC can make tougher penalties for any club that breaks the salary cap.

What was the Dogs 2002 punishment, that was pretty fair

Now I don’t claim to be some maths genius, but if the salary cap is currently $9.1 million.... and toddy claims the sharks are over $500k under it this season..... while also reminding us that teams must spend $95% of the salary cap every year......

.... doesn’t that make them not compliant for 2018?

Toddy is playing silly buggers

Trolling how?

Unless you've come across some recently found information that links the Roosters or Broncos to some sort of salary cap rorting, you're talking out of your arse.

The other teams that I mentioned are proven cheats.

Really ?
I thought 1 club were appealing, and have yet to be found innocent or guilty.

I am not going to go through 16 pages of posts but has this been mentioned?

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2013-08-20/sharks-accused-of-secret-financial-dealings/4900742

Nope, not been mentioned. You're the only idiot try try and link a 5 year old article to this.

Barry Russell must be some sort of of forensic accountant to find an anomaly with a TPA deal done years ago after only being in the job a few months.

We're a club of high standards and as such employ very good, professional people like Mr. Russell.

You only self report as a smokescreen for something much worse. I remember self reporting to customs officials on a return from an OS trip about 20 years ago. I explained I had a couple of wood carving souvenirs. I think they were appreciative of my honesty and waved me through. I had heaps of dodgy cheap pirated DVD's, PS2 games, computer software and music CD's that were all the rage back in the day in my bag.

You sound like a person of suspect character.

I’m by no means a math genius either but isn’t the 2018 comp still going?

Finals bonus’ etc are yet to be paid.

Want to violate the salary cap and get away with it? Easy! Blow the cap and keep it secret past the end of the current season. It’s not that difficult. Whether the initial Integrity Unit of one retired Easts winger or the current 12 person posse the NRL audit has never been the agent of discovery of salary cap violations.

Canterbury got mixed up with an investigation by Fairfax of council shenanigans.

Manly’s difficulties ongoing for months now with little revealed, came about from a police investigation into NRL match fixing. Melbourne was revealed by the club after a management change. And all faced some level of punishment.

It appears that if you now retrospectivey confess, of your own volition, that you have cheated you are to be treated like George Washington when he fessed up to his irate Dad that he had cut down the cherry tree. The myth has it that the Dad took George tenderly into his arms and said: “My son, that you should not be afraid to tell the truth is more to me than a thousand salary cap violations” And he let him off with only the lightest tap on the wrist.

It seems that when your CEO position relies on keeping sweet with the clubs it pays to be benevolent leader when clubs break the rules.

Total hypocrisy.

The Sharks should have the book thrown at them. And have their premiership stripped. They did the exact same thing as Melbourne

Either strip the Sharks of their premiership or reinstate Melbourne's 2007 and 2009 premierships. You cant have it both ways.

Whilst having ones club embroiled in these public allegations,is hardly enjoyable,I await the outcome.

However the irony with your pompous comments is worthy of mention..
I just wish all NRL clubs had a big carpet ,like the ones AFL clubs(the sport you follow) have, which are able to hide misdemeanours.John Elliot ex Carlton says hi.
And it's Ok(according to the AFL CEO) to pay hush money for covering up harassment allegations (Fremantle Dockers).Brown paper bag manufacturer says hi also.
I'd hardly be preaching about morality"such as "greed".
