Two questions.
Does the alleged player have a red head?
Does the player use the above mentioned head as a weapon in defense?
Don't want him, not at all surprised Roosters don't either. Coming off the bench in the GF and getting 23 minutes was revealing.

ok - I'll play

Bit of a merry go round about to happen

1. Tapau -----> Roosters, only if
2. Nappa -----> Panthers, only if
3. Merrin ------> Knights, only if they miss out on TPG
4. TPG waiting on Bennett coaching situation at Broncos.
5. Bennett waiting on coaching situation at Tigers

The only constant between doing dumb stuff in round 18 or Round 25 is the players
The roster changed through that period. So you're wrong about that bring the 'only constant'. Since it wasnt even a constant at all.

One constant though... every player that played was coached by Griffin for most of the season.

Roosters, Sharks and Souths make up the top 4 for penalties conceded though.

Do you honestly think that any coach would say 'We need to give away tackle 5 penalties'?

39 penalties conceded by Fifita. Is that the coaches fault?

So the poor starts should now be a thing of the past, along with the strong finishes?

I just can't wrap my head around the slow starts or fast starts being down to a coach. I understand if it's a certain game plan & you're being found out early, but just not sure how a coach (prior to a game) could change individual unforced errors.

We're talking about professional athletes. If they can't get themselves up for a game or they're the opposite & are always on their game, surely that is solely on them.

That’s why I think it has to do with the physical nature of our pack as compared to other packs (I have mentioned it a few times here). We get rolled at the start of games when the other team’s pack is fresh and then come home strong when they tire and we don’t.

Peachey conceded our most penalties. Most of his were lazy attempted tackles as he got fatigued. JFH looked to trying to much to slow the play down etc.

Poor starts were a result of poor discipline. If they happen again regularly in 2019 it's a result of coach who isn't good enough.

Strong finishes (atleast the way we scored points) were a result of the talent in our roster chasing points. So this should only disappear if the coach does fixes our discipline .

Not to say our Origin halves wont be able to finish games strongly. Realistically we should still finish strongly. But not by attacking every set desperate for points

Ciro is a rookie coach who has never had an NRL pre-season. So we have no idea if he is capable of fixing our discipline issues. He cant really make things worse. But he might not be able to make them better either. The fact he hasnt failed in any area as yet atleast gives reason to be optimistic he can fix some things. But realistically it wont be until early 2019 where we know what sort of coach Ciro is. Chances are we will still have many flaws through 2019. We just need to hope he and the rest of our coaching staff identify them and adjust through the season to fix them. Unlike 2018 where we had flaws exposed in Round 1 that we never fixed.

Edit
Im more referring to defensive discipline then errors or penalties aswell. If we can defend our line and make our tackles it goes a long way to minimising the effects other issues have on us. We were very often a gutless or stupid defensive team.

Once again, very convenient argument there MX.

Summing up. Everything bad - Coach*, Everything good - players.

* Only if the coaches name rhymes with is Tanthony Friffin.

It does make sense that chasing points down comes from natural talent. Other teams with better coaches often couldn't do it like us.
