Anyone that offers Val a multi year deal is a fool, especially North Queensland after their signing of Taumalolo. No doubt the "JT" is worth signing for a long time, but players have a habit of not showing up on long term contracts - Taumalolo for all his greatness was missing in quite a few games this year. I'm sure you can blame the bad vibes at Townsville in 2018, but Issac Luke is another example, hence why Warriors made the smart play and gave him a one year contract. Keep it 2 years max for Val.

A 2 year deal would not get Val out of Cronulla unless its for $2M a year. Only old blokes or guys who're still trying to cement a first grade spot take 2 year deals.
