I used to think this was Grace but it's a Welsh dude from a band called Budgie.

I know they had some great concerts at the Fillmore but did they appear at Woodstock or were they more a East Coast band?.

Jefferson Airplane definitely appeared at Woodstock and feature in the longer directors cut version of the movie.
