OFF-CONTRACT NRL star Jarryd Hayne is reportedly being investigated by the NSW Sex Crimes Squad after an alleged sexual assault on NRL grand final night this year.

Channel 9 reports Hayne is the subject of a police investigation after a woman made allegations of sexual assault against him after the pair met up in the Hunter Region on September 30.

According to the report, the woman, who had been in contact with Hayne via social media, claims she suffered injuries during the sexual encounter with the former Test player and has photographic evidence.

A statement from NSW Police issued to Channel 9 read: “Police are investigating following reports a woman was sexually assaulted by a 30-year-old man in late September. The investigation is being led by detectives from the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad. No further information is available at this time.”

No charges have been laid and there is no suggestion that Hayne is guilty of any offence.

Kiama my bad see what you mean.
I have had the misfortune of meeting him once.
He was a total tosser.
But that was a about 5 years ago.
I was hoping he had learn but it look like he has not[/QUOTe

I was wrong about Jarrod Hayne- I posted that 50 % of his $700k would be going to satisfy his ego and pay for his legal expenses in the USA. HIs legal fees will probably just about bankrupt him now.

Like the calm one, I'd rather no one came than someone who so obviously fails the character test. The real shame is that we will probably lose a good guy like Kurt Mann anyway.

Mickey agree but Norman price is to much.
And now Rapana is out for 6 months so hope we keep dufty at the right price
They have to replace 400 odd games of experience lost in the backline...they wont be buying a rookie...possibly Alex Johnston now if not Corey Norman...but still think if Parra swallows $250K of Normans contract Dragons will bite...

Decent trolling.

You're not quite there yet but with experience you'll naturally improve.

Just been over to the dark side and ventured into Souths forum to see what they have to say about Alex Johnston- seems like a carbon copy of our comments re Dufty- the consensus is that he doesn't have the defensive toughness to play full back and that Cory Allan could be the bolter for full back in 2019.

Which means that Johnston is not an option for FB even if he's being shopped around. We have to make do with what we've got for full back- I'd try Lomax first up and then Jonus Pearson- assuming of course that Dufty needs more time to develop his defence and high ball management.

I wonder if Hayne mentioned this story during his talks with the Dragons. If he did they may be waiting to see if he gets charged or not.
