I have had some experience with this with my son and the advise from the solicitor I was given is that in today’s climate when a complaint is made by a female against a man to the police he will be charged regardless of the evidence and it will be left to a jury to decide his fate. It is not a pleasant experience and you wouldn’t wish it upon anyone.

Your new stadium is in parramatta though, right?
Ha ha ha ha
Hot hell hole of a place in summer
And nothings-ville in winter
Like Crush said, 14 wooden spoons
Now please tell us, why the love for winning nothing but motherless last?
I guess it’s part of the genetics in being losers!

Like it's in f**king Broken Hill ? Of course it's in Parramatta you dumbarse. It's a stone's throw from the league's club where we'll be reaping in the $$ from the Wanderers, Tigers and Waratahs fans who'll get to use our facilities and new multi story car park.
As apposed to getting splinters in your arse on the Kogarah hill and and the Swine flu on that Woolongong hill in Winter

They have to replace 400 odd games of experience lost in the backline...they wont be buying a rookie...possibly Alex Johnston now if not Corey Norman...but still think if Parra swallows $250K of Normans contract Dragons will bite...

Could be worth a look if as you say they pay 250k.
Then why not worth a go

Hayne investigated for alleged assault

NSW police are investigating after a woman claimed she was sexually assaulted by Jarryd Hayne.
NRL player Jarryd Hayne is reportedly under investigation by the NSW Sex Crimes Squad over allegations of sexual assault.

Hayne is being investigated after a woman made allegations she suffered injuries during a sexual encounter with him on NRL grand final night on September 30, the Nine Network reported.

Nine said Hayne had travelled to the Hunter Valley to meet with the woman who had spoken to him on social media, and she had photographs to back up her claims.

The NRL was unable to comment when contacted on Thursday evening given it is a police matter.

However, it's believed the code's integrity unit interviewed the woman before it was referred to police.

NSW Police said detectives from the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes squad were leading an investigation into reports a woman was sexually assaulted by a 30-year-old man in late September.

Hayne's representative Wayne Beavis also opted against commenting when contacted by AAP on Thursday evening.

Off-contract and at this stage without an NRL club for 2019, Hayne's future is still unknown for next season with Parramatta struggling to fit him under their cap for next year.

Hayne was technically still an Eels' employee on the night in question, however he is no longer on their payroll.

It's understood the club's chief executive Bernie Gurr and other officials were unaware of the allegations until the club were contacted by media on Thursday.

"As this is a police matter the club will be making no public comment in relation to these reports," a Parramatta spokeswoman said.

It's also understood the club hasn't been able to speak to the star fullback since they were contacted.

Hayne is one of the NRL's biggest names, having won the Dally M medal twice and played 11 Tests for Australia and 23 State of Origins for NSW.

He is also defending a civil case in the United States where a woman is attempting to sue him for damages for an alleged sexual assault in 2015 while he was playing in the NFL for San Francisco.

Hayne has vehemently denied the claims from the alleged San Francisco incident, while police declined to charge him.

What a load of shit. Sexual assault claims are actually one of the hardest crimes to prosecute due to their nature, which is why victims often do not come forward

Far, FAR more guilty people escape conviction/charge than the other way around.

Indeed, there is the presumption of innocence.

My issue is that Hayne has now 2 very serious legal matters at hand. One here and one in the US. Granted, no charges have been laid in the local matter, but surely it will take its toll on him mentally.
Just to remind people (not you), there was no charge form the US allegation either. It switched to a civil suit. I'm not saying he's innocent or guilty of this latest allegation, but let's wait & see what is said by Hayne & what facts are discovered.

I have a feeling that all 3 clubs involved in this Hayne circus, have known about this incident.

Yes I'm talking about Us, Parra and the Knights.

If Parra "really" wanted to re-sign Hayne, they would have found a way to do so without this cloak and dagger approach. Signing Ferguson and Sivo, (and having Leleisiou and French) probably gave us a clue where things were headed there. My guess is they were waiting to see if he was charged.

Us, well we haven't "rushed" to sign him, even allowing for the rumoured shopping around of Dufty and the release request of Mann. With talks apparently being going on for several weeks now, again, my guess is we were waiting to see if he was charged.

The Knights were very interested in Mann, but a transfer to them was reliant on us finding a replacement (Hayne), although this may still happen, the odds are shortening that it wont. Add to the fact that literally out of the blue they signed Hymel Hunt (well before this news broke), and my guess is that some dialogue had taken place between clubs at which the Knights decided they weren't going to wait for an outcome of charges.

So, Jarryd even if you are exonerated from all charges, this is not a drama that any club, and in particular, ours needs. If it does go to trial, then I doubt a football career is worth chasing. At 30 years old, I feel the playing days in the NRL are very, very numbered.

Shocked by the allegations against Hayne , unbelievable that they come to light at this stage of said negotiations to play in the Big Red V .
One would think that a man in his position would make sure he doesn’t end up in a similar situation
Not too many brains up top I suspect.
I suspect the press announcement may be the reason things have slowed in the negotiations
Unwanted attention and we don’t need it as a distraction.

Waratahs 7,000 crowds if that, lol
Wanderers fans will set the club alight with their flares, happy you deserve it
You still didn’t answer why parramatta has a love affair with the wooden spoon
It’s in your DNA to lose
But 14 times, wow

Was this his permanent position as he's listed as a 5/8 as part of the 2013 Storm side?

interestingly enough, he seemed to swap in and out more than i would have thought. out of the 12 team lists i found from holden cup 2013, he was named at five eighth for 7 games and fullback for 5 of them. and as mentioned played fullback for U20s QLD as well

obviously he has played most of his football in the halves but I guess my point is that he would have been considered as a fullback coming through. he just started at centre because that's where the opening was at the time.

OJ was not guilty in a criminal court but guilty in a civil court. Go figure
