In reality Mann wants to go and we are prepared to let him go, so why not just let him and worry about a replacement when the right one cones along.
Mann would never be a starter under McGregor, only a bench utility, and i really cant understand his roll. There are a few that can fill his roll now, so why delay the inevitable.
A player wanting out to me isnt going to he 100% focused anyway.

You do realise there are injuries during the year and a team needs good depth?

Brownie must read our forum and take notice of what I say.

I was also saying on our forum and Newcastle's forum that I thought Ponga looks like a natural 5/8 and that I think it could be his best position. Now Newcastle plan to play Ponga 5/8 next year. Brownie must be listening to me.

@possm , is no troll.
Dont agree with a lot of his posts, but he is no troll.

His posts do him a disservice then. The consistent focus on a single point - irrespective of whether the thread is about said point or not - can easily be seen as trollish behaviour.

It's similar to the "No one is coming" posts.

I think 'possum' is alright and adds his own dimension on things.

None of us agree with every post from any given poster and thats to be expected.

We all have different takes on any given topic or angle. Some of us like to go over particular points numerous times and there's nothing wrong with that as well.

Thats what makes the forum interesting.

Often we cant all agree on matters so were probably best to walk away for a breather if its getting too much.

Anyway, just my two bobs worth but as mentioned, possums' alright.

Mann is one of the most skillful players on our books. He's been poorly managed and coached. Better than Lafai and Aitken and Nightingale and Pareira. If he TPed McGregor's house I wouldn't blame him.

Sack Mary.
If he was what you say he is, he would have shown it in games, but he hasnt, a good footballer goes on the field and shows what he has no matter what position he is in.

Mann has played enough games for me to say he hasn’t got it.

I am not saying he is a poor player, just average.

So now does Millward need instructions from L plates? So;
He tried his best but Millward missed Hayne by that much.
He couldn't convince SKD but show's his lack of judgment by trying.
Who's next?
"He tried his best but missed Hayne"?
Are you serious? We were on track to sign Hayne and then he went and got himself in trouble with the law and we rightfully backed out.
He tried his best but missed Hayne?
He tried his best.........but missed Hayne........
Relentless.

Fair call OKB.

I don't normally accuse people of trolling as it's a pretty subjective topic. What one person sees as trolling, another person can think is a legitimate post.

I guess I just find it difficult at times to understand how possm can believe some of the things he posts. That combined with the contradictions and regular thread hijacking made me start to question things.

I'll leave it at that.

So what is Coyne and Johnston doing about all of these awful decisions?
Aren't these two gentlemen the only hope we have?

So you're saying Millward "missing out" on a player who is now up for two counts of sexual assault, in two different countries, with a history of poor behaviour is a bad thing?

It has been well reported that he tried very hard to sign him.

He had him signed mate, Hayne was all but locked-in. It was only after these accusations came out and he was arrested that the club went cold and pulled out. In fact we were pretty cautious to begin with. Would you have preferred he signed him earlier, then have him be under investigation while he's on our books?

There's a reason why we put so many precautions in the contract we tabled to Hayne. Would you prefer we fall at his feet and pay him exorbitant amounts of money, only for him to end up in jail and putting us in a tight spot with our cap?

Love the back and forth with you Possm, but you've gotta wake up here.

What awful decision have we done now?..what have I missed?
By the way Possm..you can cross 1 of those names of your list. Coyne has a new job on the Indepedent Go Missing Commission. Your hope has just halved.. :)

How do you know all this? Do you have a copy of the contract and if so, could you share it with the forum? I am sure it would clear up many things including Millward's judgement and the salary and terms offered to Hayne.

Careful Possm, we could ask you the same questions when you make your accusations due to Millward's fault or inability to do..anything!.
A lot of us on here are us frustrated as you are re decisions our club has made in the past including coaches, players, boys club mentality etc but none of us know the real facts when it comes to salaries, and what is going on behind the newspaper print in recruitment / retention negotiations.

I am glad Haynes and SKD are not coming here. I think it's a bit disappointing that we engage these types of players. I guess it's a bit desperate on our part to bother. I would rather back some of our young guys in and take what comes with it rough or smooth. If Haynes and SKD turned up and we happened to a comp how much would you enjoy it?? It would take away from it for me. Winning is important for sure but having a team worth supporting is far more important. Invest in quality people and results will come.

Very very true, if we had players like those you mentioned I too would feel empty, even if we won the GF.

Don't know how teams like the RoRters and Storm... with teams full of those sort of players even have the 500 fans they claim to have.
