How long does Finch have to find form.
Short and Lynn are banging down the door. Carey is probably as safe as anyone in the team, could make him captain.

He was our leading ODI batsmen last year, I don’t see him going anywhere before the World Cup.

Plus the selectors clearly weren’t impressed with what they saw from Lynn & Short in ODI’s.

Short and Lynn have been thoroughly disappointing for Australia in ODI cricket. Finch has been consistent for quite some time.

The Finch hate on this forum is getting ridiculous.

Finch was great last season, so getting brownie points for now I have no problem with that, but how much longer? Seems to have lost confidence. Maybe might do well today in Adelaide?

Short deserves another chance, why not or do we just cross him off the list so he can become a fulltime t20 junkie like Christian and just play in leagues around the world? His bowling is pretty handy as well for a few overs

Lynns shoulder/fielding is a worry. Don't buy Warnes analogy he may cost you 5-10 runs in the field but will make it up with the bat

lol

ahh yes our great selectors, wouldn't be going that far to make a point , they seem clueless most of the time.

They've each played four games...

Finch is a good white ball cricketer, no mistake. He's always been hit and miss though. Concrete boots and gets bogged down easily. Let's not get carried away by the fact that he lead the runs in our worst performed ODI time probably ever, he has always had issues.

We certainly need a Lynn or Short type in the modern game. Finch isn't going anywhere just yet, but that doesn't mean we don't also need a more explosive player alongside him.

Short hasn't been given that good a run in the ODI's and is pretty much the form limited overs batsman right now. I get Lynn missing out though.

Finch needs to find form soon though.

Lynn needs to try and play a season of domestic cricket to prove he is not gonna break down again, I wouldn't gamble with him at international level right now

Looks like Australia have an unchanged line up. I thought they might have changed the lineup to have a look at a few other players.
Batting first after winning the toss.

He pretty much has?

He's not gonna play Shield, nor should he. So he's lead the runs for the JLT cup and is now in good BBL form.

Would have thought there was a more effective bowling option than Sids

Why would you bat first again?

The team needs some practice chasing in a World Cup year. Back yourself in.

Nope. Try and win the series, if that means you feel more confident batting first so be it.

Confidence is every bit as important as form. If we win this one, then we can try a few things.

Yeah. I'd guess they're thinking Siddle could be effective of english pitches so want to see what he's got. It's about the only way his selection makes sense.
