Geez that’s an in depth look into his thinking. He was getting as much ball as he’s ever got.

Ten games is almost half the season. He hasn’t a decent game all year that is for sure.

The amount of ball is probably the wrong take from me, it’s the quality of ball that’s more important. Our attacking structure has definitely changed, look at how few tries our outside backs have scored.

We aren’t attacking from 30-40 meters out anymore like we did with Hook, instead we’re playing it through the centre.

Not doubting he was poor this year, but the whole backline was.

So when Kikau doesn't fit in you will be happy to see him go as well? Kikau's closest mates are Blake and Dallin.

I'm not happy now, so no.

But I wasn't happy when a team with Kikau and Blake started the season 2 and 8 either.

Like everything else, it depends on the issue I guess. Attitude to training, conditioning and recovery (noting Blakes steady injury toll) can corrupt talent pretty badly.

That is the thing. Depends what is behind it there is lots of unknowns with Blake atm

Of course he will I mean Mitchell Moses is a lot better than James Maloney and Nathan Cleary, but for Waqa to become elite I suppose he’ll have to stay on the paddock for longer periods that he is now, I mean with finals games Waqa has played 88 games out of a possible 130 or so games since 2015 meaning he’s missed around 30% of games he could of played, not real value for money is he

You’re probably being sarcastic but for all the faults Moses has at least he has excellent vision and passing, he also has more try assists than Cleary/Maloney combined this year.

Parra also has a far better attacking game plan than ours and when it clicks they could tear any team apart.

Blake has injury problems but so do a lot of our players, it’s been a curse at our club for god knows how long, releasing one of the best injury prone players we have doesn’t make much sense to me.

My 2 cents...... We as panther fans are all guilty of it...... but we seem to rate our kids higher than just about any other person that plays the game...... If you look at Waqa with no Penrith bias he is truly an amazing athlete.... but he has hands like feet, is not a centre that is very good at all at setting up his outside men...... and seems to be always injured. The guy has never played Origin and Phil Gould has apparently paid him plenty...... we can replace Waqa easily..... it is a business. I wish him luck.

good post. 88 games out of a possible 130. 34 tries in those 88 games. Not elite figures but I would rather we kept him but also can see if highly paid he'd be out the door

Most of our backs have missed a significant amount of games.

I think Whare has only played around 65% of possible games

Mansour has missed over 35 games in the last 4 seasons

Mate if that is the reason he wants out then good riddance(I don't think it is but anyway). That would be a dummy spit because the coach was trying to coach.

He was fantastic for us last year, sure he struggled this year but if that’s all it took to get released we wouldn’t have enough players to field a team right now.

Giving up a potential elite centre for a guy whose had a handful of decent games is an idiotic move, what happens if Naden goes through a rough patch of form? Just release him and bring in the next flavour of the month? Our player retention policy is a f**king joke.

That's it really.

Blake is the closest we had to a rep player in our back line. He goes through a bad patch (along with pretty much everyone else) and he gets the boot. He has far more upside than Whare, Mansour, Edwards, Aitkens. The only exception you'd make would have been DWZ and he is gone too. Naden plays a handful of decent games and suddenly we don't need Blake anymore? Geez.

Culture or money who cares. Penrith have bungled another one. You can't tell me the club didn't see him as an absolute star when is re-signed last year.

Maybe he is paying the price for a Gus stuffing the cap but like I said there is enough to show last year was the exception. It takes 2 to tango as well

They are always out but also have great attitude and also wouldn't be on the money Blake is. You never seem to see Blake in the videos doing extras at training so there is no doubt several reasons behind it but it is a chance to fix the squad up as a whole.

Sure our top 17 is weaker but the overall squad can be fixed and in a few years who knows where some of these kids coming through will be

Your absolutely right about this, when Moses goes for one of his magic cut out passes that land in the first row of the grandstand at least Waqa will be there to catch it because he’ll probably be there with the injured crew
As for Parra having a better game plan then ours last few years 12th, 14th, 4th out in 2 weeks, wooden spoon, 8th at the moment and only 2 points in front of us and we’ve had a shocking start to the year

I suppose attempting to throw cut out passes is a bad thing considering we never see our halves throw them, lets just pass one out to Kikau every time and hope he does something, amazing skill right there...

I also said they have a better ATTACKING game plan and that is true, they have scored 311 points compared to our 196, Parra's biggest issue is consistency, but that's mostly because they have a pretty poor team on paper especially compared to ours

They have the worst coach in NRL too
