Cleary's new deal doesn't start til next year so I believe that side of it.
That makes sense. So we'll lose Maloney and gain Cleary on the big contract. He'll have to step up next year.

You might’ve missed my point. I was just listing those guys to highlight how long we’ve been talking about the next crop on this message board.
I’ve been posting here for 13 years, I’ve seen this exact conversation many times. Basically it always boils down to “don’t worry, the next crop is really special”, invariably they’re not special.
It’s our white whale.
The ball playing fullback is so important in attack these days.I like ball playing FB in a side that is why I didn't want him there but offered more at Centre than Whare has the last few seasons.
I am by no way saying To'o is as good as DWZ not yet anyway but on stats
Metres gained per game To'o 169. DWZ 112
Linebreaks To'o 0.6. DWZ 0.2
Tacklebreaks To'o 4.4. DWZ 2.2
Errors To'o 1. DWZ 1
To'o would be on 20% of DWZ salary yet atm is doing better
Similar for Naden v Blake
Given we don't do sweeping backline plays and won't do for a few seasons atm these moves are better going forward

It will be interesting seeing if Milfords reported move will sparks the Broncos.
Given we have released DWZ and Blake, and Grant retired (apparently without being paid), we must have a fair bit of coin now spare.
The guys we have promoted in their place would all be on minimum wage or close to it.
Cleary must have a plan as to where we are going to spend that money. Given that today is the last working day before 30 June, presumably we aren’t getting Peachey this year.
What do we think the plan is? Other than Peachey I haven’t seen any rumours about who we are targeting.
Because they ended up at the Dogs and the Eels.Who says those clubs or coaches weren't interested?

Would you have taken Blake or Kata? Bellamy chose Kata, obviously rates him higher than Blake or DWZ.

Don't know if it is that simple but another thing is Waqa was dropped for showing up late to training this year also he was dropped with Moylan back in 17 for breaking curfew. These are the types of things Bellamy hates.
That on it's own cancels him out for Bellamy

Leniu upgraded to complete Panthers roster
Penrith Panthers is delighted to announce Spencer Leniu has been promoted to complete the club's top 30 roster for 2019.
The 18-year-old prop began the season in the club's Jersey Flegg squad but his dominant performances soon saw him elevated to the Canterbury Cup side.
The contract upgrade means Leniu, who was previously on an NRL development contract, is immediately available for NRL selection.
"I had to fight back the tears when I was told I was being promoted to the top 30 as it's something I've been working towards for a long time," Leniu said.
"I rang my dad straight away. It was one of the best feelings ever when he shed a tear and said how proud he was of me.
"I thank God for paving this pathway for me. I'm blessed and honoured to now have the opportunity to train and play alongside people I have always looked up to."
A local Minchinbury junior who came through the Panthers development system, Leniu earned selection in the Australian Schoolboys side in 2017 and the NSW U18s side last season.

I don’t know, Munster is a complete headcase. Blake’s indiscretions are minor in comparison.
