See above mate. They have been playing in the halves together since u16s at Penrith.
Maybe training but the 2015 NYC GF is perfect example of them not being at the same stage of their career

Cleary chose to play Australian schoolboys instead of the GF that is the only reason he didn't partner Luai that day. The question was how much did the play together in the juniors? the answer is a lot. I can find articles of Nathan or Jerome discussing how they have played together a lot and know each others games really well.
Ha I'm not crazy! I thought I read somewhere one of them said that.

SG Ball GF 2014. Cleary played Luai didn't.
May played some 5/8th in 2015. By the end of the year they weren't together.
Since round 8 2016 Cleary has been in 1st grade.
So that is still 3 years since they were regular halves partners.
Sorry but the question was how much did they play together in the juniors not how long since.

Yeah and I listed plenty of breaks in them playing together in the juniors too.

A quote from Gus:

"He and Nathan played a lot of football together as youngsters. They’re great mates and I think whilst James Maloney has been wonderful for Panthers and wonderful for Nathan Cleary, this just might be a breath of fresh air in the team that they need at the moment.
"I can tell you, back at 16, 17 years of age when they were playing together, we actually rated Jarome better than Nathan at that time. Jerome [is] extremely fast, very skillful, great kicking game and great football instincts.

Like I said they trained together heaps but Nathan was always further in front so didn't play together as much as they could of
That quote says they played a lot together though.
Ivan Cleary quote:

"I've been watching those two since they were playing Harold Matthews. They've played all the way through those junior teams," the coach said.
"So they definitely know each other's games. Hopefully they can just imagine it's Harold Matthews and get out there and have a bit of fun."
Dude, that wasn’t the question. I was the one who asked the question, I should know.
Sometimes it’s better to admit you got something wrong than dig the hole deeper.
This was the question:
How much did Cleary & Luai play together in juniors? 1 season, more?
To that I answered not much and listed examples of them not playing together.
Betcats doesn't agree which is fine. I was merely pointing out that even if his side of events is true that is was still several seasons ago

Fair enough, but your initial answer appears wrong. They played several seasons together in the halves.
Doesn’t matter how long ago it was, playing several seasons together means they will have a fair understanding of each other’s games. More than other halves would.
Anyway lets move on. Someone is going to get the shits about off topic conversations soon.
Which was why I asked the question where was Luai in 2014?
I know Cleary played Ball and was 5/8th in the GF. Soni Luke was the half if Luai was injured it adds longer playing together.
If they were in different grades then I wouldn't count that year as playing together.
Regardless atleast they have some experience together as does the rest of the spine with Luai
