Can we give Sivo a rest and get back to the rumours please!
Has anybody got any credible romoured signings, not just fanciful wish thinking?

To'o is 6 years older then To'o over his career we will get more from him than Parra will Sivo

Just imagine if we had both in our team.

Still though hindsight is 20/20, I think identifying talent is probably one of the hardest jobs out here in Penrith, just wish we would get some better decisions sometimes with the players we have to choose from.

I really can’t believe you’re still trying to argue losing Sivo isn’t a big deal.

it’ll go down as one of the worst losses in our history.

Big call.

Having a very good year. But it is just one year. Long way to go.

It is however obvious that he would walk into this team over Mansour or To'o. We should never have re-signed Mansour.

It’s what he’s able to do. You can’t teach that, and it’s also hard to plan against it. Size, strength & pace. Players with his raw ability come along very rarely, we completely screwed the pooch.

And it didn’t need to be a choice between To’o and Sivo, they should’ve chosen between Sivo & MWZ. We didn’t need another experienced winger when we already had Philips, Mansour & DWZ.

We have bigger problems than not re-signing a winger though that is how I see it.

Would having Sivo instantly make Naden pass it? Or the halves throw cutout passes? Or Edwards do sweeping moves?

I do admit he would setup a few tries himself but I doubt it would be enough to put us in the 8

Penrih obviously value different things when it comes to wingers...

Whatever those things are.

Mansour was resigned early during the 2018 season before Sivo had really emerged in NSW Cup.

Sivo wanted to stay at Penrith but his path to NRL was blocked by Mansour & DWZ and coach Griffin believed his defence and positional issues would render him a liability in the top grade.

Sivo received multiple offers, not just the Eels, and rightly left believing his opportunity of a breakthrough was more likely elsewhere.

Ironically, Griffin was sacked not long after Sivo made his decision to leave.

Things may have turned out differently if Sivo had of been given his opportunity in preference to Christian Crichton who was never going to be NRL quality winger.

Crichton was development squad. Sivo wasn't so made the decision easier

Tyrone Phillips was in the top 30, Crichton development player but given the injuries to both Mansour & DWZ during 2018 there was an opportunity for the club to apply for exemption for Sivo to debut in NRL but alas Griffin went with Crichton and ultimately that was the decision which led to Sivo seeking opportunity elsewhere. I remember thinking at the time we should have given Sivo a crack as he had more upside than Crichton but at the time he did have areas in his game which were a concern so I wasn’t surprised when Griffin went down the safer route. It hasn’t turned out well but it is what is and good luck to Sivo for making every post a winner.
