RCG was on about 800K a season for 5. Which was too much he was worth 500-600K. We will be paying 400K of that so Parra will be paying 400K for RCG's services. I think he is worth that even in his more ordinary form. If his form improves (under better coaching) Parra have a bargain which we'd be paying for. They aren't taking any real risk, they have far more upside than downside.

Parra have plundered us due to our own stupidity.

Its not just Penrith
Plenty of players need a change or get stale. Your club issue is too many juniors. Makes the guys feel like they are just competing with guys they know and are better then so positions are safe.
Clubs like Parra for example are always looking and active. It would keep current player in squad on toes.
You also need a cult hero. When was the last one? Eels had Hindmarsh Hayne ,Moi Moi then Semi and now its Gutho and more so of late SIVO.
Someone the young fans wants to cheer for. Not the best player in team but a cult hero. I reckon Penrith fail in this department and have so since Rhys Wesser or Boom Boom Becket.
Need marketable and fan favourites guys that make crowd cheer and fire team up.

Penrith fans think we are the only the club that releases players, they cant accept having more juniors means releasing more players, we should not be releasing any players apparently.

We've had plenty of fan favourites since Wessar..... Simmons, Plum, Soward, Mansour have all had cult like followings at Penrith in recent years. To'o is definitely heading there if not already there.

This isn't meant as an attack but we've been more successful lately.

Bloody hell I’d take anyone mentioned. I’d pay good money to get Vuni or Oates here. Gives us an aerial threat & another attacking threat in the 20 which we desperately need.

Naden isn’t in the same stratosphere as these guys.

I think he definitely is in those areas specifically. It's in other areas that Naden has issues.

I do feel a little bit better when I think about how shit the eels are. Still that is setting the bar low, we shouldn't accept mediocrity.

That's why signing Kurt Capewell doesn't excite me too much.

On Parramatta, they do stay active in the market. They've got a terrible history making an inordinate amount of poor signings but at least they give it a go.

It is one thing we need to focus on again as Hindy said.

Fan favourites: We lost plenty when Ivan first arrived and we had our clean out. Was gutted to lose Jennings and see him win a premiership elsewhere.

By 2014 we were a much better team and had favourites like Mansour, Moylan, Segeyaro etc. Doesn't take long for it to happen.

I like the sound of all of those bar Walker. If it's Morris I'd like the Sharks to be picking up at least a bit of the tab though.

O'Sullivan mentioned in that article would be a good grab as well.

Realistically a much smaller and believable list of targets has emerged. It may not be as sexy and glamorous as some of the above names but there are still a few handy players on this hit list including Dylan Walker, Ryan Matterson, Alex Twal, Josh Morris and Esan Marsters.

They would all be great signings except for Morris. I like the Morris but he has had his time ,34 next year.
Matterson or another gun 2nd row ( Graham) would be a great signing and provide a lot of options for the forwards.
I think with another quality 2nd row we could then get by with a prop who is solid but with a lot of room for growth like twal, Timms or Perret.
