The notion of a Deep State is that there is a hidden level of government that transcends borders and manipulates decisions notwithstanding who is in power. The above article shows that documents obtained from FOI revealed a targeted cash grab by the government of the day. The only “deep state” in that story are the tentacles of the fossil fuel industry. Ironically we have a history of helping these corporations like Santos who operate now in East Timor, yet pay no tax.

The resource industry in general, not just fossil fuels. Uranium is a big one, too.

And they're all tightly woven with the arms industry and the drugs industry.

They're all one big cash grab, and they're all run by the "Deep State". Just look at Biden and the Ukraine (and who else had children on Ukrainian energy boards?)

If you are conceding that the Deep State is in fact big tobacco, big oil and big macs lobbying, bribing, blackmailing and manipulating the dumb or corrupt politicians - then that’s very disappointing. Clinton sold her office and used the Clinton Foundation as the payment scheme, just look at Uranium One.

And the sex trafficking is as much about compromising and controlling than it is perversion.

And it's not really "the big, bad capitalist companies" that are the problem - it's the politicians and the military officials who use their power for their own prosperity. It's the lifelong intelligence operatives who think they control the world. It's the mobsters who have been compromising people since photographs existed.

Want a better understanding of the Deep State? Look into Barry Seal. Not the Tom Cruise version in American Made. More like the Daniel Hopsicker version from Barry and the Boys. At the very least, it's a really interesting place to start.
