It’s been a great Cleanout year actually - and I’m stoked:

Waterboy ignominiously sacked
Deano gone
Webby turning the screws
Laitkens gone
Griffin signed
Cody’s gem debut
Max’s debut
Win-cum-Illawarra Board Goons
totally discredited

All I could’ve wished for

It’ll be an unexpected very Happy Xmas at our joint
... & 94 yr old mum’s still beside herself with McR.I.P’s trashing

And wasn’t Cody’s mum the shot of the year!
Not to pour rain on your post but has Deano gone yet?

MATCH PREVIEW

Knights v Dragons: NRL.com preview

With a top-four finish now out of the equation, a home game in the first week of the finals is the goal for the Knights over the final two weeks of the regular season.

To do that they need to win their remaining two games and hope either the Rabbitohs (one loss) or the Raiders (two losses) do them a favour.

The Dragons, on the other hand, are languishing in 13th position. Possibly the only good news for them is they cannot slip any lower.

These two sides both lost last weekend, with the combined losing margin of 59 points a real concern for both clubs.

Key match-up
Mitchell Pearce v Adam Clune: Pearce will play his 300th NRL game this year if the Knights make it as far as the grand final. For the Knights to be any chance of achieving that, the man known as Junior needs to be at his best. Clune, on the other hand, has proven he belongs in the NRL in a breakout 2020 season.

Stat attack
The Knights (36) and Dragons (31) missed a combined 67 tackles and conceded 79 points last weekend. This from the sides that rank numbers one and two in the "most tackles made" stat for 2020.

And I predict Feigai will play between 0-9 mins!

Can we sack this caretaker coach and get a caretaker caretaker coach?

Naming Max on the bench to make his debut and get the customary 4-5 mins of game time is an absolute cop out.

He can get a feel for the pace of the game from the first row of the stands!

Spot on- Young is reportedly leaving the club so his only motivation in naming this team is getting a W to boost his stats and help his cause in getting a plum Assistant job. Everybody who cares about the club wants to get a sneak peak of the next gen players like Feagai and see how they handle it. Hook should have a say in who is in the team for the final two rounds- I'm sure he wouldn't be picking Aitken!!

Is there any possibility that he moves Feagai to the wing and Ramsay to fullback? Either before or during the game?

I highly doubt it.
Even though Dufty has glaring deficiencies he has been our only real attack this year.
Feagai will just spend the week preparing with the big boys. Unless injuries occur he will likely sit on the sideline for most if not all the game.

For me I wouldn't drop Dufty or move Ramsey to fullback just now.
I'd start Feagai though.

Yeah. Just trying to make sense of it.

I’d also be happy with

1. Ramsey
2. Feagai
6. Dufty
18. Norman.

I don’t share others opinion that Dufty is a 6. I can’t see him defending in the line. But at least it might settle the matter before next year, and it would have the added bonus of not having to watch Norman again.

Here is a thought.

Young has gone into the last 2 games with a back-up hooker (Brittain).

Brittain now out with concussion, no back-up hooker.

Max Feagai named on the bench who is a specialist centre or winger.

Would Young consider moving Aitken to hooker to give Hunt his 'rest'? Or move Cam back to hooker and Aitken or even JP spend some time at lock. This would then bring Max into the game earlier and some longer minutes.

As I said, just a thought.

Me personally I would drop EA and play Max there, he doesn’t deserve to be dropped though and probably deserves to see out the season with us. That being said i would probably give Lomax a week off. He’s been carrying that injury for half the year and that can’t be good. The season is over and he’s cemented his spot. Problem is that you don’t want two rookies on the right. And don’t want to move Aitken there because that would be such a waste of Ramsey.

But ongoing results??? indicate “same shit no points” Aitken & Norman DIMINISH,
NOT ENHANCE,
Clones’s chance of a win?

Why do you think Aitken,
at 25 FFS,
was NOT re-signed Deano?

Join the dots fellas

With his skillset the game has passed him by

Detritus

Yet you still burn the candle for him??

Max will open up the other half of the backline to more tryscoring opportunities at the very least

Mind boggling irrational conservative stupidity

You’re destroying your chances of ever being welcomed back to the Club Deano if you’re as thick as your mentor brick

BTW
Nice to see Hoops reckons Normy MUST go

Aitken to hooker might be tricky Dragonslayer because you have to pass the ball at hooker.

See your thoughts with the lock move though; whatever it takes, hope we see the young bloke
