Next question: When will he leave the club? Would prefer him for 2021 however we know how this will probably go.

Are there any Canterbury players we would have any interest in as a trade? I can't think of one.

Perception is a big thing, and the perception of how the club has handled this off season is bad.

The Mansour mess
Losing our captain
Losing our most talented junior

All before we’ve re-signed any of our major names

DWZ comes to mind but won’t happen

Christian Crichton to come back to appease Stephen? He’d be playing reserve grade and would never make our fg squad ...

We need a backup half for this season. On the one hand I hate to stand in the way of a kid playing FG, but on the other we have a shot at winning the title.

Benji Marshall would make a good backup for us.

They have some good halves if they want to swap

Losing Tamou hasnt made us look bad at all. Losing Laurie and Burton doesnt even look bad, they are two guys who we are struggling to get into the team. Its disappointing for sure but it was always a possibility.

Bummer.

Playing your preferred position is always a big pull, always thought it was weird how some here thought it was more plausible for him to sign for us out of position than with a struggling club in his preferred position.

Also it doesn’t matter the details of the no poaching agreement between Barrett & the club, the club now looks silly for even saying there was one. We just lost our most talented junior in a long, long time.

The Dogs are a basket case. Trent isn't a head coach. Got boardroom issues... The list goes on

A few things need to get sorted. We cant release Laurie and Burton as well as Naden and Mansour. Laurie and Burton can show up to training and wait till we sort out our roster before we consider releasing them IMO.

Ive been saying this for over a month now, a great leader, mentor to the youngins, plus keeps Luai performing..
Dirt cheap, and would stick that right those WoeWest me Tigers, for ditching him, and.... Ivan and benji reunion

It's pretty clear that losing them meant freeing up funds to hang onto others and potentially hanging onto our gun centre, Crichton in which I think as most do in here, was an absolute priority.

Huh?

its nothing like the storm situation.

Because you want to only look at us.

They lost Tino

Vunivalu

Have no idea if their captain is coming back. As a result what is doing with Grant and Brandon Smith

The CEO is going to Broncs

Bellamy is not going to coach after this season

So I'd say they are in a worse position

Priority is Luai and Yeo, the rest are nice to haves...but not essential for a core squad
