Walters will have them doing plenty of laps around the oval at Red Hill. Might even get them to run along Waterworks Rd.

Yep. They made the eight in 2019 (as they did the five years before that) and even finished top four in 2017 and 2015 (where they made the grand final). Merkins are forgetting what a strong club they are and how massive their recruitment/retention advantages. The 2020 wooden spoon was nice but it was absolutely the outlier. The last time they missed the finals was 2013. Before that it was 2010. They have never missed the finals two years in a row, and like us after 2018, they will bounce back.
Doubt they'll make the eight with the inexperienced spine they have, but doubt they'll come last either, too many good players for that.

Retried footballer and television star Sam Burgess has been arrested after allegedly failing a roadside drug test and driving an unregistered vehicle without a valid Australian licence.

The premiership-winning South Sydney Rabbitohs captain was charged on Monday with driving an unregistered car in Braemar, just 10 minutes' drive from where his ex-wife Phoebe Hooke lives with their two young children.

Police will allege Burgess, 32, returned a positive roadside drug test for cocaine, and that he has never held a New South Wales drivers licence.
