Croker would be available imo. But unsure if he is what we need. His defense is solid but attacks average

Too slow and old. Injuries are catching up with him now.

What about the fijian winger semi valemi. Got a bit speed about him from what i saw last year. Looks a bit skinny though. Not sure what he is like defensively either

If you think we're in the same ballpark as the Storm and Penrith good on you. If you're in denial over our defence you'll probably be like BA and leave Blake in the team this week. Our edge defence is poor and always has been. Against Manly Blake was constantly caught out 20 metres infield and they had a field day against him as our sliding was poor to non-existent. Do you know we're top 5 in ineffective tackles? These are not the things that endear confidence that we're any closer to a premiership.
Do you mean engender?

Winger i would be chasing is a guy who played a few games for the Storm last year. Isaac Lumelume. Looked the goods. Big strong and fast. Would cost f all and could do just as good as our current wingers...

I don't know why that first link won't display or why it only loads the links as video displays and not just the link that you can click on.

Oh well.

But anyway, if anyone has contacts with someone with influence at the club, maybe ask them to take a look at this kid. I don't think they would regret it.
Looks a natural footballer with a step. What we lack is steppers in our team that can break open tight defences.

What needs to change is BAs mindset. He needs to look at what changes are needed for the good of the team and make them. He was Ballamy's assistant and he is ruthless with his changes to make his team better, BA is the polar opposite. As I thought he has left Blake in the team against a team that has a deadly left edge. What is he thinking doing that?! Would Bellamy do that, no. Blake would have been shipped to a different team over a year ago.

As stated earlier we need speed and just minor tweeking will achieve that, but that might need Gutho moving to a different position. Will he do that for the good of the team? Don't hold your breath waiting for that to happen.

George Jennings is Bellamy's first choice right winger this year. The same George Jennings all our expert fans thought was responsible for every try scored down our right edge whenever he played for us.

The need for trust in defence is for the outside defender to trust the inside defender. The exception is when an edge forward takes the dummy trying to get across to help out his half.
Still think we compress too much, our middles are so close they're cuddling each other, which leaves huge gaps on our edges. On Sunday our widest player was 20 metres infield and with a few quick shifts Manly easily attacked our right side. When they were a player down they created a 2-3 player overlap and scored down our right side. While still missing a player they easily defended their edges with speed and did so throughout the match. Souths will have a field day down our right with Blake there and that'll all be on BA.

We have to compress because Paulo plays long minutes and isn't as mobile as merkins would like to believe. If we don't compress we get carved up through the middle. You would've seen it last year.

It all starts with quick play-the-balls. Manly were able to stand up quick in T 3 or 4 and make that play play down the edge. That puts the D on their heels and makes them indecisive.

Manly purposely slowed down the ruck on T 1 & 2 and it stifles momentum. They then focus on line speed for T 3 & 4 and we are going nowhere come T 5.

No I think we still blamed Blake but George has good defenders inside him now and probably makes very few tackles now. Case in point, Remis Smith, an average player with speed at Dogs, is now a good centre. Their systems allow average players to become good players but their common ingredient at Storm is speed. Again Bellamy is bringing Coates to Storm and his greatest asset is speed. Same at Penrith, their backline is all speed, and they must be extremely fit because they play an up-tempo game all match. They simply exhaust their opponents into submission and similarly Storm do the same.

If its so simple than why doesn't BA do that?

Pretty sure we were all blaming Waqa Blake for a lot of our right edge defence issues. Surprise surprise it's continuing, in fact it's getting worse. George Jennings was mostly ridiculed for stupid errors with the ball.

Yes but Bellamy has clearly told Gennings that he will be caned on his bum if drops a ball. Gennings would drop the ball every week at least once.
