My guess, super league.
Doubt it. You only get two signings allowed off the cap in the SL. He isn't a good enough player, in an important enough position to be a marque signing. There are guys in the Super League in the forwards as good as him you can get. It's more the backs than the forwards that struggle for players. The guys who get marque signing are former rep players or those spine players and if you don't get one you wouldn't go to the SL unless you have no other option. And presumably he does have the option to stay.

If Chris McQueen can still get a gig so will he

Mcqueen got a gig because he played about 150 NRL games. That means something at least. Smith has played 30, it isn't the same.

Well at 28. Why would Smith hang around to play NSW Cup

Kaide Ellis is over there. He has less games then Smith

Minimum wage here is 120 and most older players who are more reliable than rookies get bit more than that. The cap over there is barely anything. You'd move to other side of the world, in a cold, wet country, uproot your family all to get like a 10% increase in salary. I'd wager Kaide could have taken that offer or stopped being a profession League player for lack of offers.

Goes to Stability. He has got 2 possibly 3 year atleast over there. Here he'd be 1 year at a time.

When you are a fringe guy at that age you take the multiple year deal if they are close

Scomo calmly went through his tai chi routine this morning. He knows he has a big day ahead of him.
