there was in non salary cap era or if teams cheated
its been 3 years they havent lost many games in that time and half there players havent even hit there prime yet

Manly made the grand final 3 years in a row. So did the Roosters. Broncos had pretty much the whole Australian side at one point (97-98). Canberra were clearly the best team in 94. This stuff happens - it comes and goes.

Some team will lift and match them or they’ll fall back somewhat.

A lot of loose chat here, none of it recognising the entirely 1-sided policing of the ruck. Easy game when you can hold down as long as you like defensively and play it whenever you want

Nobody is talking about it because it's expected at this point.

Penrith’s upper body strength is just unreal. They hold the ball-carrier up and drive them back probably 80% of the time, leading to a slow play the ball.

Their defensive line is almost never under pressure because of it. Then they manage to do the same thing with ball in hand - push the defender back.

Absolutely superhuman upper body strength, like nothing I’ve ever seen before. Wonder how they do it.

EASILY the most dominant team of the salary cap era. Storm never went back to back, even with their cap. Broncos at their peak never had 3 grand finals in a row.

f**king hell channel 9 sucks. Brand damaging
Yeah...awful. That said, the entire coverage of the game is just archaic and boring. I think it needs less ex players and more fan input and actual professional input. I would love to see some alternative fan made coverage. Not sure how it'd work though. We just can't trust the NRL to get it right.

Manly, Canberra and the Broncos did all that (along with what the dogs achieved) in the 90s. There were some very dominant teams in an era that was highly competitive at the top.

Gotta make the most of your opportunities in the big games. Parra got a penalty on half way (the one that led to them being penalized for a bs obstruction), they should have taken their time, caught their breath and put in a good touch finder to get them to the 30 or better and work for a set play near the line. Instead Moses has a brain fart, kicks the worst touch finder ever one second after the ref blows the penalty and they make 1 metre and take a quick tap near half way and, yeah, go on to f^^k it up. That could have been the turning point. The Parra halves can do sh*t like that some days.
Penrith allowed to lay all over the tackled player, they're doing a real job of slowing Parra down.
