There's usually a two week break between the last trial and round 1 so it would kinda make sense to play Penrith against St Helens the week before the comp starts and then give them the first bye.

Doesn't the English season start in mid-February next year? St Helens may not want to come to Australia after their season is underway?

Personally, I'd love to see the Dolphins open up against the Broncos.

With an eye on a commitment to the World Club Challenge, I think Penrith opening with a bye would be fair too (and that round one bye reserved for the World Club Challenge participant annually).

We have had history with those kids. We know those kids very well.
They were a weak gutted dog team as a toddlers and they hasn’t changed now. They're a weak gutted dog team now.

Raiders by 13+

to be fair those grub toddlers probably nicked all of Sticky’s textas back in 2014. A few years later he only got about 70 back. Very much a weak gutted dog act.

Yeah they should schedule it in my opinion in Round 4 then the second match at around the round 20-22 mark.
Trouble is they usually have trials together too, and being a 'best of the west' and GF decider
Its meant that itll probably scheduled later on, maybe 6-7 then 20-22

Yeah it’s most likely they will be versing again in the trials. It’s not common to see two grand final teams verse in the trials but it happened in 2018 when Melbourne and Cowboys played against each other.
I honestly believe that it’ll be around the 4-5 mark. They aren’t gonna leave it too late but they won’t start it too early.
