Poor footy, Luai and Galvin tend to kill the attack, Galvin holds the ball way too long, trying to make shit happen when he’d be better off giving early ball. Luai stifles fluency with his silly stepping and the ball did not get to Turuva once tonight. Disappointing but at least they were in the fight for 78 minutes. Should’ve won it. Good game from Api, and Sukkar was pretty solid when he came on. He looks strong. Samuela Fainu was poor when he was on, and Naden was proper useless for his ten minutes.

That was a hard game to watch. If you weren't a fan of either team you'd probably be commenting that it was a contender for worst game of the year.

I owe Api an apology. He was our most dangerous attacking player by a very long way and went the 80 with no problems.

The sooner we get rid of Galvin the better. And he can take Hunt with him.

Agree, except for Hunt, we need depth, tbf he would never be a starter but is useful in his stints, he’s not getting a lot of work, bc the other guys don’t want to come off.
Agree with Api, was sensational.
I thought we were going to win it tbh.

Our halves have been so shit. Samuela Fainu has fallen off a cliff this season.

Api was god like, Sukkar was really good, Turuva, Staines and Bula were good. May was good.

Things are looking bad to me. We've fallen into a hole. Benji needs to get this team performing and we need to be able to attack. We had Api's brilliance and that was about it.

Hunt makes a couple of good hit-ups per game but it's not enough. Sione is a better impact forward.

Galvin did make that bust and if he held it we win that game but geez he has been shithouse this season. Like so so bad.

Extremely disappointed.Api was sublime.Young Sukkar was impressive. To add to my despair I made the mistake of looking at our draw. The next 6 games r horrendous. We will b lucky to win 1.

I think Galvin tries too hard, I think he is really good footballer but is overthinking and overplaying his hand atm, he needs to relax and let it flow a bit. We also need someone straightening the attack in the opposition 20 we keep pushing our centres and wingers into the sideline, need to open it up a bit. Tonight I think we were very tight early, in terms we didn’t play footy, when we loosened up a bit in the seconds half we had some great passages. We had some shit calls I agree with API in that Arrow should’ve been penalised for knocking Seyfarth off his feet at marker it completely broke the defence. When API made the break from the May pass, Bula was following through and probably scores if he wasn’t held back by Duncan. When Hunt got hit on the trick play close to the line, Sullivan was never onside. When Seyfarth got pipped for a knock on, on the second tackle when we were attacking their line the ball was actually stripped (although Seyfarth did not complain the replay showed the hand clearly). Still we have to be better and take it out of the hands of the ref.

Just looked at some stats Api was enormous tonight 56 tackles. May 63 tackles (no misses), 19 hitups 199 metres, one line break assist, 6 tackles busts 3 offloads, outstanding. Seyfarth 50 tackles again and made some real good ones on the kick chase, I can’t cop blokes bagging this fella, he might not be a rolls Royce, more like a Toyota landcruiser does his job and doesn’t stop. If he gets decent ball he can run a good line and does beat defenders, just needs quicker and cleaner opportunities as do our outside boys, they’re basically catching the ball in the face of the opposition 90% of the time.

The referring was atrocious but we were really poor. We have to be better. I get sick of blaming the refs because you need to win games despite the ref.

Those calls you mention were all terrible and they impacted the game. I still think we didn't have enough quality performers and our halves have been shit. If our halves play better footy we win that game.

I think we need an upgrade on the edge but I also think Seyfarth is a guy we need in the team every week. He goes hard.

My thoughts

*No team needs the bye more than us. It was a very flat performance from the majority of the boys.
*We need another middle to compliment what we have badly....someone who can play at least 40 minutes.
*No fan can ever knock Api's effort for our club.
*Samuela Fainu. Completely different player to last year. He had Batemen and Papalii (not the best players I know) to contend with last year. He knows he will not get dropped due to the pure lack of depth...therefore, he knows he could cruise it in. At probably every other club in the comp, he'd be shaking hands with the reserve grade coach. We need depth in that spot as well.
Galvin: I was pretty content for him to play out the season.....but he is getting worse. If he or the club play shit for a few more weeks, put Latu in.
Luai: Im starting to think this guy is taking the piss. For what we are paying him, he is simply not delivering to that price tag. I really hope the club don't try to talk him into taking these early get-out clauses out of his contract. He can take it for all I care at the moment.
Here is the thing with get out clauses. They only work out for the player, never the club.
1. If Luai continues to play shit, he won't leave as his next contract certainly won't be nearly as rich as the one he is on now.
2. If Luai actually plays well, that is when he may well activate it.
