This is not really rocket science. If the club was smarter this is exactly how Aland should've been treated from day 1.
Its a shame that a scumbag Spags is more interested wasting his money on legal challenges due to his ego and need for power.

Considering his f**king loaded.

Someone like him

If he really loved the club he could have been the TPA man with business connections to get around the Salary cap.

Very interesting, especially the final section on creative accounting.

"And the thing is this, there is a legal way to really boost your salary cap, or your spending with third party money. The good clubs know how to do it. The poor clubs don't know how to do it. The poor clubs don't have the capacity to do it, they don't have the contacts to do it, they don't have the businessmen around to be able to do it.

The rich clubs, here's a simple way, okay. I'm worth tens of millions of dollars, I'd love to go and sponsor the club because I'm becoming an old man, I want to come in, I want to sponsor the club, because I just want to hang around the footy and go to the footy with my mates and a couple of my other mates are sponsors.

Club chairman says "Mate, don't come and sponsor us. You just offer this guy over here a third party sponsorship. So you'll have no official contact with the club. But what I'll do, I'll get you in the chairman's lounge every week. You can come and have a beer with us, you can come in the sheds afterwards, you can have all the benefits of being a sponsor, but you're only sponsoring Billy Bloggs playing fullback."

Then Kent describes how Gould implemented third parties at Penrith and now at Canterbury.
That’s what we don’t have.

You were the one implying that players would automatically prefer the Storm over us. I’m saying it’s not that cut and dry and we should stop selling ourselves short.
Not 'automatically', but certainly more likely. The only reason they would prefer us, all else being equal (i.e. $$$) is if they had a strong preference to live in Sydney. But in that case, there are plenty of clubs to choose from.

What's ten years got to do with it? I only bought these shares two years ago. They have done better than BTC in that time and so have Ripple and Doge. The price of BTC ten years ago is irrelevant for expected growth. It's just not growing that fast any more and speculators can find better growth assets.
I’m not in the mood. What’s with the new avatar? You told me you were going to use that screenshot of Sixties.

funnily enough, he actually was our big TPA man prior to im wanting to get his hands dirty in 08/09....

he helped several players at our club.

If Moses gels well at 6 with Cleary, go after Reynolds for 2 years until someone in the juniors stands up like Riley has.

He couldn't be that expensive and he could steer us around the park and Moses can play the big moments.

In the podcast with Moses, he said he already thought he knew everything and the current coaching staff in the last 7 mths has taught him more than he ever thought. He also says he's never played with a sensei (someone who has taken the path before) halfback and wished he had one when he was young.

Maybe he is open to learning more of Reynolds especially as he ages and need to use his brain more than his physical attributes.
No Reynolds is too injury prone now. Not worth the money except as a coach/mentor to young halves coming thru.

Without shedding players how the f**k do the Dogs fit in Galvin now?
They are shedding players, Mahoney and Sexton. Gould promised Mahoney a new club and the captaincy, now he is being offered the door. Sexton is now surplus to requirements, wonder what Gould offered him? These shiny toys have reached their use by date and discarded. The shiny new Galvin has piqued his attention atm. This is shades of Penrith with Gould and Ivan Cleary with players Cleary wanted punted by Gould. This has the makings of derailing the Dogs season hopefully starting when we play them in a few weeks.
